  1. Nice one Nath, see you then. Andy, that's an awesome colour to have. See you guys tomorrow. Rich
  2. Hey all, If you don't mind me joining you guys for this, then I'll be there? I'll be on a white Echo Urban (2004). Nath, I met you not too long ago on a Southampton ride. Andy, you know me from back in the day, but we probably look pretty different now. You'll have to let me know what bike you'll be riding. Rich
  3. I was scanning the front page of the SingleTrack website and came across this SingleTrackWorld Website www.stramash.com Looks like there's to be a new 'Slopestyle' event happening on 19th and 20th September. Apparently it is "being organised by ‘The Clan’, Scotland’s cycle stunt team and Detail Events, the guys behind the famous Rat Race urban adventures". I guess it might be worth going to for anyone who lives relatively near. Has anyone seen this and already decided to enter? I'm sure there are plenty of riders on the forum that would be more than adequately skilled to do this. Please discuss. Rich C
  4. Nice one Ben. That was cool. By the way, check out what I found when digging through some old MiniDV tapes. Old skool. Hopefully we'll catch up for a ride sometime soon. Rich
  5. I enjoyed it for the fact it had a slick look. I agree that there was pretty much no story within the video itself. But, to be honest, there are a huge amount of music videos out there that don't have a story to them. Think of how many music videos you have seen that are just the band playing!! Unfortunately that is often the way. Music videos are, on the whole, about the look. There are of course exceptions. For me, I'm really happy to see him using everything that is coming his way, to help create a new buzz around biketrials. And it's good for people who prefer comp/TGS riding too as it inevitably generates interest in that direction as well. Anyone wanting to learn the basics starts with these essential moves. They may find that generally slower, more technical riding is what they then want to do and start entering comps. Anyways, that’s my ramble. Rich C PS. Can you believe those guys actually stopped at the crossing. Ha.
  6. That was really enjoyable. Nice one guys, Rich
  7. Hi weirdoku, We've never met before, but I'd be up for joining you guys if you don't mind? I used to know lots of riders in the area, however I haven’t really ridden biketrials for the last 3-4 years and I'm trying to get back into riding more regularly. So if you guys don't mind, count me in. Rich C
  8. Nice work //JD. That looks sweet. I think having a simple colour scheme works really well alot of the time. I've just found some pictures of my old ES3 too. Thought I'd post them here for you all to have a mooch at. Sorry if I'm hi-jacking the thread a bit. Jeez, just noticed how high the stem was. Mental. Rich C
  9. Thanks for all the kind comments guys. I was indeed. I was riding with Jon G (Papa Manual). I take it you were one of the guys from Ireland we met. Sorry, I've forgotten your names. It was good riding with you two anyways. Hey Andy. Been a while huh. I'll definitely be up for a ride. I know no-one around here that rides trials anymore but it's good to know that the Poole lot are still going. I'll be in touch on msn. Or PM me if you have a ride planned at some point. Thanks for the suggestions for future improvements everyone. I'll give the riser bars ago at some point. As freetrial said, I just need to get out and ride again now (If I haven’t forgotten that is). Thanks y'all. Rich
  10. Evening all. I've been off the trials bike for about 3 years now. I'm really happy to be riding again. A big thank you to Ali at TartyBikes for the helpful advice on choosing the parts. When I came to build it I found that the Maxxis Minion 2.5 tyre I'd bought did not fit in the back wheel. The clearance for the back tyre is extremely tight. I have temporarily put a Maxxis Advent 2.3 in there but I am going to try a High Roller soon. Hopefully it will fit. The other parts that I am going to change are the grips, the BB (as it is about to fall apart soon I reckon), and also the mech hanger. Talking of which, does anyone know where I could get hold of a hanger of the type that will fit this frame? This is probably not the place to ask, but if anyone reading this does know please PM me. Thanks, Rich C
  11. That was nice to watch Ollie. What was the music? It sounds slightly like Mono. By the way, your friends back wheel just after you fell off the bench (at the end) looks like it has quite a big flat spot, or is that the fish eye lens! Rich C EDIT... Mmm, should of read the orginal post properly before asking what song it was. School boy error. Sorry.
  12. That's a very awsome section from Danny M. Thought I'd better let you know that at about 4:43 into this there is a clip that says 'Media Offline'. Was the video conformed? Anyways it was rather enjoyable to watch so thanks. Rich
  13. Really smooth riding Dan. You've gotten even better god damn it. It's worked though. You've inspired me to hurry up and sort out my bike. Oh, and just thought I'd let you know. You left your car door open. Rich C
  14. Out of interest, does anybody use IRC El Gato anymore? I've had a look at a few of the big online shops and can't find them anymore. I'm looking to get my bike back into order again and one thing that definitely needs replacing are the tyres. If these tyres do not exist anymore what is comparable? They have quite a square pattern on them from what I can see that is left of my current ones. Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks, Rich C
  15. Out of intrest, what equipment were you using? Camera's etc? Cheers, Rich
