I totaly agree with prawnuss on this subject. Nothing i have ever been in compares to an A3 and it just oozes class. Fun to drive, great on the motorway and far superior to any car on the market for this kind of price. A few examples i found on ebay. a3 1.6 sport a3 1.9 tdi You know it makes sense go german (Y)

nice pics mini man (Y) Yeah a good southwest ride would be good. I know its only short notice but how does next w/e sound??? I should be able to accomodate a fair few people if ne1 needs to crash on the sat nite as i have the hous to myself. Let me know if there is ne interest and i will start up another topic. Cheers Frenchman

I agree with mike on this one. Deffo last week of august, gives people time to book off work and get ready etc. I also agree with the campsite issue both times ive been in a porthcawl campsite we have been asked to quiten down, turn down the music etc Maybe jon can think of a youth friendly campsite :) I am sure a fair few people from plymouth will come up. cheers pierre
-
Yeah porthcawl sounds good :P Whats the expected timescale?? I.E. a month, 2 weeks? cheers

E-bay do not have a contact phone number, they are an internet based company. I know this for sure, e-mail is the only way. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news

It all depends what you want and what your budget is for a car. IMO the mini is the best car and is the most fun and best handling small car out there still after all these years. To answer your questions the rover mini and the austin mini are the same car apart from the age. They began as the austin mini and then became the rover mini in the late 80's early 90's. There is no difference apart from the name and engine sizes depending on models. A 998cc will be reasonably nippy and driveable, you could do somemotorway traveling aslong as you are careful but i wouldsn be too keen on the idea. personally i would look out for a 1275cc mini as they are so much more refined due to the increased power and torque. These will be better suited for motorway driving. Either way get a mini and have a car with a personality. (Y) Hope this helps Cheers Frenchman

Old style hope mini..... IMO the best and most reliable front disk available. I have had no problems with mine atall and have had it for 2 years. (Y) I recently overhauled it with a braided hope hose from tartybikes and a set of ebc red pads. Very stiff brake now and the power is awesome, i am running mine on my t-pro with the new echo team forks (cnc ones) so a similar setup and i love it to bits :) Your a lucky chap to have got one for free :P

I recommend plazmatic crm's for sure. Koxx browns are v good too but i find them a little too hard for my liking. Plazmatics aspire nothing but confidence :shifty:
-
Ebc reds definitely :shifty: I got a new set courtesy of prawn and they are arguably the best disk pads i have ever used. No point in buying anything else

Here are the pics i was taking on the ride this sunday (Y) Silly drop gaps by prawn and sam w. Fatmikes attempt Barbeque was awesome and sam entertained himself and all of us by playing poo baseball with fatmike (Y) Many thanks to tuppers and his parents for providing some barbies and the helping out with another spot to ride after being chucked off the open moors by the ranger :) cheers frenchman
-
Ahhh well ahead of you Tic :S Been knocking up some mini disks for prawns mini :turned: Well from what im awarae is that matt has bought a few disposable barbies and everyone brings grub, i.e we all kinda share. nice chillout in the middle of the ride
-
oh gonna be soo good. Tuppers and myself had a good idea and we have decided to have a barbeque aswell so the deal is bring your own burgers and stuff and im sure a few donations wouldnt go a miss to cover the cost of barbeque etc. :turned: Have fun and see you all on sunday :S frenchman

ello lads  ive had a word with bigman, and were putting all the bikes in his escort (N) so me and pierre will be heading up in the mini without bikes to slow us down (N):D:D see you all sunday :)

A little bit of touch up paint on the threads works for me on the bolts of my maggy (Y)

nice 1 mike (Y) well heres my contribution.. im on the left with the red bow tie :P One fond memory of a prom i went to involved being refused entry to the planned after party and then travelling 10 miles in a taxi to an obscure house in the middle of nowhere to sit in a hot tub all night drinking large quantites of beer and spirits and then getting a free lift home in the morning ^_^ cheers Frenchman

The idea of filling your hub with silicone is to stof it from spinning backwards. You still retain all of your pawls and springs, so the hub is constantly engaged. Basically it isnt the silicone that is locking your hub out it is stopping the pawl from pressing down. Hope this helps (N) Frenchman

And another. Well we all know they are old but hey another to the list. Cheers frenchy

Bigman!!!! Yet another broken component to add to the list! Nice goin (N) cheers frenchman
