I've owned two french cars! Does that mean I'm allowed to slate them? I had a 1.9 diesel citroen zx reflex, which was genuinely hateful, and then a 1.9 8v petrol volcane auto! which was truly amazing. both were poorly built, but the volcane had big comfy recaro style seats, revved to 7k, had an awsome 4 speed 'sport' auto box, and handled really nicely being a 306 chassis..... Then the big ends went at 86k meh. it's renaults I have a passionate hatred for..... EDIT: oh damn the irony. this is PRAWN but I've broken into frenchmans house whilst he's at the gym and I'm using his computer!

Just a little update, no pictures unfortunately. I have spoken to simon at morspeed with regards oli's engine. It has been ready to send for quite some time, although simon being one of the best engine builders in the business he does seem to be somewhat disorganised! Simon has been on holiday the last week or so which is why Nick and myself had no luck with chasing up the engine. Simon has promised the engine will be with matt at the workshop by the end of the week. I'm going to try and pop up to matts next week sometime so i'll get some more pictures for everyone then. Update Alert!!! So after a 350 mile round trip yesterday prawn and myself collected all of the bits oli had gathered over the years to complete the mini. Upon dropping the bits off to the tupmans we had a little look round what had been done to the car and discussed what was left to be done. Ill let the pictures do the talking, please bare in mind before painting all the hard work doesnt really show. Smoothed bulkhead Completely removed inner wing as no longer needed due to kad subframe Genuine mk1 light conversion KAD subframe and anti roll bars hiding in there along with Kad brakes. Oli's custom dash, the layout is superb! More updates soon guys. This is going to be something special.
