  1. Do you ride to work with your brake on? I ride to work too and I avoid using my brakes where ever possable as it just slows me down :)"
  2. Gar-idge scon But I'm from Kiwi land
  3. Thanks I had a phobia of needles... now I'm fine. Did run over a hypo the other day, went through the tread but no puncture... damn smackheads. :(
  4. Sorry I don't know what you're talking about. my key board's fine after I changed it to UK. I listen to Primus Incubis NIN Tool Shehad Salmonella dub, that sort of thing. And I'm not even from this town.
  5. What gear ratio are you running? I run 22 front 18 back for stock, that's pretty standard. Also don't forget to push those arms foward and up. Timing is different too. Practice till you've got blisters. :(
  6. Yeah, there's a few different tools, can't remember what fits what. Ring your lbs and quiz them. or just take it down there, once it's on tight it should be sweet.
  7. Check out his site. waltworks.com I'm getting a nice custom mtb bike for my girlfriend off this guy. I think he'd be upto building a nice light steel trials frame. His frames start at $800 US posted to UK.
  8. I'm sure I posted yesterday... I run shell mineral oil and it is far far better than Magura blood. I've used it in my rear hs33 for 3 1/2 years and it's still rock hard. Ive got maggie blood in the front and it pumps up in the sun and has a softer feel than the shell stuff. (both good bleeds) I personaly don't see the point of water bleeds when a shell bleed feels just as good and you don't have it freezing on you.
  9. Yeah they used carbon discs on motor bikes and F1, but it's gotta be red hot, special pads too which I'm sure aren't avalible for martas. I'd want to check the carbon fork at least each ride :("
  10. Try EBC red pads. I've also taken to my rotor with a bench grinder and drill press to reduce the surface area (on my trail bike) but it makes a huge difference.
  11. You've gotta bed it in. drag the brake down the biggest hill you can find and repeat until it bites hard. Then tell me it sucks! Also make sure disc tabs are faced with hope tool
  12. Sorry it's late and I can't be bothered to read all the posts so if I repeat, sorry. I damaged my wrist a while back (tore the tendon off between the 2 arm bones) and it toke months to heal, loads of pain but it still worked. Had lots of physio (sp) and she told me about... Glucosamine sulphate. It's from shell fish and we need it to maintain joints and cartilage. As so as I started taking it (1000mg a day) my wrist started to calm down rapidly. Also to lots of stetches.
  13. Look at the lenght of your old bolts, add booster width. Eye-ball booster against mount, wanting it to clear by 1mm or so, just add 3mm for the recese on mount and thats your spacer length. So spacer plus booster plus old bolt = new bolt. Umm does that help? P.s most boosters come with 16mm spacers and 45-46mm bolts, but I use just 12mm to keep it all compact.
  14. Reynolds newest cycle tubing, is a high stength air hardening alloy that takes seamless steel to new heights. Unlike current steels, this alloy actually increases in strength in the critical joint area as it cools from TIG welding temperatures. In addition, 853 demonstrates excellent fatigue life and damage resistance, making it ideal for competitive use. (taken from web site) Look up columbus reynolds. Loads of good info. Try... true temper sports... usa so maybe costly. Goto waltworks.com have a read and check out his links... the free bike cad on bikeforest.com is cool for working out geo. Hope this helps "
  15. Renolds 853 631 531. I'll just jump to another site and see if I can get you more info.
