Hi, i have a friend who could be REALLY good at trials riding, he is a natural, i had him backwheel 3ft perfectly and gap 6ft the other day on my own bike, and it took me 15 minutes to teach him how to do it!, 10min after that, i had him kicking up and over the top of park benches etc! before,he could wheelie and backhop, but that was it! Now, he is trying to put togeather a bike, but hasnt got much money, but he is a top bloke, so im trying to help him out... when i say not much money.... i mean £50 would be turning out the pockets! basically, i have sorted him some old h/bars, a maggy and bodged some cranks... but he is using some cheap £100 full sus bike frame.. NOW, I no people have saracen X-ile frames batterd up but still working , hidden in their sheds ! now would one be willing to donate, or accept a small ammount for one?? please search your hearts , and sheds and post a reply! Thanx Ry :S

I no i shuld go down halfords and use the spoke measuring tool, but its a wee journey from my house and i gather one of you might no the answer here, so ill ask.... I would like to no what spoke length(s) i would need to lace up a King ISO hub to a V!Z 46mm 26" rim (the new hexagon cutout one) 4x stylee err 32 hole. ??

I dont intend to buy one, and im not complaning, im just stating my view on it , hence making myself part of the discussion. After all, this is a 'trials forum' right? or is it the Bigup and praise, overpriced ugly looking bikes forum??

Hi i have an old hope TI front axel, that uses the Spider style disk mount (5bolt i think), where you unscrew a ring from the hub, fit the spider adapter then rescrew on the ring... i think its the same fitment as the Ti-Glide rear disk hub... Has anyone got this Spider adapter to sell me?? Thanx

looks crap and probally costs £700 or somethin stupid. wonder if its still made from cardboard? i think that is now going way too far into the extreames of bike geo fussyness. i bet mr vinco can ride a levelboss to the same standard as that. so whats the need in it?

Back to the black hole theory......... A black hole is caused when a Red-Supergiant star becomes supernova and implodes due to a gravity collapse. (bit like if you had a gas cannester with -100psi in it then ruptured it, it would Suck stuff inward, not blow stuff outwards) this causes an inward vaccum toward the center of the star, pulling everying in towards it. (i belive its due to negitave gravity) it pulls with such force, nothing can escape it, except REEEALLY REEALY fast light (but not all light). and when it has run out of energy to pull, everything thats sucked in forms a Ultra dense dwarf star.... which is about half the size of the moon, made of some kind of metal and has more weight than all the planets in our solar system put togeather. This is what i rember anyway.. might not be 100% right (the dwaf star bit) but i think its close. So, if you want to be part of a really heavy lump of metal, then jump in a black hole... you wont travel through time though. Meh.

A word of warning from someone who knows.... DONT LEAVE THAT BIKE ANYWHERE! it will get nicked and sold for parts before you can shout 'STOP THIEF!' it seems that the GT brand of bikes is the only quality / expensive bike that chavvies know of and they target them over any other bike. in the thieving world, the GT is the XR3i of bikes.... if you get me! i had a GT zascar LE with full xtr spec get stolen from under my nose. Nice bike though!

Im fed up with hope hubs. they skip too offen, cos they get too much shit in them and the play between each engagement is too much. i have had 2 bulbs, and 2 xc's . i swaped an old DMR with z1 dropoffs that was just sittin in the garage collecting dust for the King iso , mint condition, with HD axel , SS cassette and funbolts, built onto a d521 ceramic (mint condition) with black DT spokes. and even with all the xtra hub parts, its still lighter than the hope. i love the king... and the noise of it!! coooor!

I love it, that is a wacky fort! guess the trampoline idea is a no no then... come on, it was pritty late when i wrote the topic. and i had inhaled a FEW plant fumes of some sort....... :P"

Right, you know the move where you approach say a 3-4ft wall (and higher for thoes who are seriously tallented) , then you kick to the back wheel about 3ft infront of the wall then leap into an endo ontop of the wall (kinda what CLS and neil like doing on rails), then wheelswap to the backwheel.. -you all get me so far yea?? well on the bit where kick to the backwheel ready to take off, put one of thoes small home use trampolines or spring boards that jymnastics use, on the floor, so as you land on it... -surely its now possible to get up 6/7ft walls to the front wheel?? (kinda like a 2005 stylee kicker??!) reason being , its going to flick you foward, pushing the backwheel up and leveling the front , ready to plant the front on the top of the wall, which is xactly what you want it to do? anyone crazy enough to try it? (im not going 1st cos im alwayse the one who has to 'Test' the new jumps in the woods and get hurt 1st)

Hum fist maby.... But when considering this little beauty..... Id settle for 1! Now, she knows how to do it right! hehe!
-
hum, well i have tightend it now, but it wernt quite how you described. i have fun bolts, and on the non drive side was a round screw in cap bit with a tiny little allen key that picnhes it tight, bout 1.5 mm big.. maby this was what you ment, but i got no 5mm allenkey holes on mine, its the bigger ss axel its got too. thanx anyway. Oh, any idea how much adam charges for a service on these? i only got it today, 2nd hand and id like to get it done, just so i no its all sparkling! Ry
-
Kool, is this all the same technique, cos i have funbolts and stuff??
-
my chris king rear hub very slightly rocks from side to side, like a old style wheel with loose bearings. any idea why and how you fix it?

have a D521 ceramic at mo, got hs33 brake. i usually use plazzies on a grind, but obviously you dont grind Ceramic rims. also, what is the best rear 26" WIDE rim to get?? i want something like 48mm wide pref.. i have used the Onza hog rim for few months from new. and i dont really rate it, it was a bugger to true, didnt hold a grind for longer than 3 days, and i sware i flatspotted it doing a 7ft drop, that was smooth as soup... obviously with every bigger drop you are gona get a slight ammount of slap on the floor, but this WAS a smooth landing. Im thinking V!Z 48mm with the hexagon cutouts??

Where do you clickeydeeclick for this free upgrade?? i am still using the same 1mb that i purchased with telewest 6 months ago... didnt realize there was free upg's? linkey please? Ry

that happend to my mate, and BT tryed charging him extra, saying his computer has been alterd to pull a higher bandwidth. he had so much trouble with bt broadband, it kept disconnecting its self, and got so clogged up with spyware (even though he took the proper precautions) , everytime he logged on, stuff was automatically being downloaded and exceeding his download limit, before he had a chance to use it himself! He told them to stick it in the end! Telewest is the way. my 1mb b/band averages at 1.5mb and has topped at 2.4mb! and i get no problems!

if you are a new rider, without much experience... Get a Saracen x-ile frame. you could prob get one for nuffin, £10 at the most.. i been riding 3 years and i see newbies on pitbulls, vincos etc and i can still do loads more stuff than them on a x-ile.(altho i dont actually own one at present) Learn the basics , do some frame damaging dropoffs (as all newbies do them) and once you find yourself trying to tap a 45" wall or gap a 7-8ft + gap, then think about getin some 'Specialist tools' Trust, it will be a LOT cheaper on the long run! Ry
-
seems everyone wants to compare the Pitbull to some other frame.... im not nagging, i did it myself with the GU.. Sooo. maby instead of everyone individually posting another topic of 'What frame shall i get.. Pitbull Vs ....' maby someone could put up a Sticky Poll of all the avaliable frames , so we can all vote for what we prefer?? -bit like the brake Pads bit just an idea. -personally i think the pitbull 04 is abit dated, but i dont no the KOXX so i dont kno, altho the 20" levelboss is sweet!

People say (expecially olders) that you dont have to drink when you go out to enjoy yourself...... So how comes, if i goto a club with me mates and we drink for britian, we all have the time of our lives, yet if i am the one driving and cannot drink, for me, it gets soooo dam boring, and all i can think about is how much my legs ache!! I mean, everytime i goto a club , even if its a good club, and i am not drinking; my nite is CACK! It seems you do need drink to have a good time, it gives your legs super powers for dancing and standing all nite, makes women more attractive , giving you more motivation/inspiration to go pull them, and helps you understand all the crap that all your mates are trying to speak (which when drunk is funny, but when sober just seems dam rite stupid!) You can alwayse spot the non drinkers in the club too, because they are usually standing by a wall with their arms folded, looking very bored! What you'll think? Ry
