What i would do is the ipod rip, put all the tracks on itunes in a playlist and burn them onto a cd/dvd then delete the "rip" versions and rip the tracks of the cd/dvd and they should be and named as there tracks.

Tut tut for downloading. If someone put it up for download, the owner/maker person would force them to take it down. Ask nicely for a reduce copy or something and send back the dvd that has been damaged to prove the damage.
