  1. does anyone want to make me one for a small fee, at the minute I have my brake set up so that I dont need it but just in case I think it's a good idea. Go on, make yourself a bit of cash.
  2. There's nothing wrong with long low silver now is there. Although I change the colour of mine every other week. (It's Black and matt silver now, sort of a fade transition)
  3. F***ing is the same as making love to, you div! What you meant to say was stick the knife and paper up your arse and treat the angle grinder like you would a lady friend. ( Be gentle and the results speak for themselves, an all out sexually frenzy) GRIND ALL THE WAY
  4. You cant stop riding just because it's cold and wet. Just dress warm. Plus if you can learn new gaps and stuff in the wet with a crap brake, just imagine how good your technique will be next summer.
  5. I do mean the older T-Rex, and yes it is the complete opposite of the new one. BUT my mate on wants £30 posted for it, and for a beginner it's fine. Check out some of the old Sidehop.co.uk videos. If you were thinking of buying a T-raptor then an old T-rex is much better, and for £30 I dont think you can go wrong. I will e-mail some pics when I get them.
  6. Ok in the dry weather you have to go plazz all the way. BUT, as I found out last night a single drop of water, and yes I mean a SINGLE drop, on your rim and plazzies had me laying on my back. It's like they designed a pad that turns into a bar of soap when wet. I've never ridden Koxx Bloxx but from what people say get them, as winters closing in fast and you'll want a good brake.
  7. The BT sounds like a bargain with all that stuff included. But if you have up to £300 and want a new frame I'd say check out the Toxin on Tartybikes. But for £160 the BT's a safe bet.
  8. The new Maggies haven't been out long so nobody knows how long they last. I've had mine practically since there release and they are still AMAZING. The only difference is the lever feel, some love it some dont.
  9. The new pitbulls have a +50 BB so will feel a crap load different to your Koxx. I personally hate all of this BB rise bollox, +10 or 20 max.
  10. Well from experience i have heard of a lot of T-raptors snapping, even by beginers. I might be able to get hold of a onza T-rex frame for you. (the older version) for very very cheap. Seriously it's cheap, PM me if interested.
  11. Viz maybe tryall rims with eyelets, but those stupid hex cut holes just create weak points. But too be fair buckling a 20'' wheel isn't the easiest of things to do, even with a poo rim.
  12. Do we all get a free service if we bitch about kings :)" ;)
  13. Thats because in my experience BMXers think that wearing a helmet isn't 'COOL' where as hear who gives a flying f**k if you look cool or not, it's a matter of safety and actually not being retarded. I know I'd rather be the guy that looks like a cock with a helmet than the guy dead on the floor with half his head scrapped off. (not to be too graphic) Oh and BMXers may be friendly but they have a crap load of attitude, especially towards other members of the public. Bitch over. :)
  14. My kings been fine, and my mates had his for going on 3 years with no trouble. I think it's just luck of the draw if you get a good one or not, but I do sympathise that spending £300 on a hub should mean they all work to perfection. I have had hopes and they have all died on me, quickley. I have ridden one since my king and it feels poo, I have almost said goodbye to my face many a time with my hopes. Although this new one does sound promising, I may have to get one as a spare. Problem is people are moaning about how much the Kings were being bigged up and are crapper than they sound, when everyone here is bigging up the new hope and for all they know it will be just as bad as a king. I know one guy here has been riding the prototype and says it's amazing but, if I were to be running the first king now and said it was amazing would that convince you? I think we need a crap load of peoples experience before we can criticise. And yes I am very bored right now. :)
  15. This 1 would look boo shank on the back of a T-Shirt. Not the most origional design ever but gets my vote :)
  16. NEVER offer a chav a go on your bike! It'll be on e-bay or in a druggies house before you can say CHAV SCUM. I'd take the Kona, there will probably a lot of hills and fast riding, and by the end of the day you will want to have a saddle. If you want to spread trials joy and show off then just ask if you can set up a Demo or something at the next school Fete (spelling sucks) or open day or whatever.
  17. I think that the KOT frames have a +20 rear disc mount, so a 160 caliper will need a 180 rotor. Don't hold me to this though, speak to Dave or Adam at Tartybikes, they'll be able to tell you what you can and cant do.
  18. I dont think so. Last week I wanted one but I had to go for the 203mm (gives crazy power though) The part of the caliper that the bolts hold it to the forks by is different on the rear and front ones, as the positioning of the caliper alters slightly from frames to forks. I would reccommend going for the 203 version from chain reaction, but other places do have the 185's (for a tenner more than the 203's, which is weird)
  19. erm...... From what I've seen every hub has a problem with the teeth digging into the freehub. I'm currently running a rear king and have just got the single cog I use and a load of spacers, works fine. However, if you really, really, really dont want the cog digging in a little (only a couple of mm) then Chris king make specific cogs with a larger contact area of the cog actually touching the hub, this means that it wont dig in. Problem is, as with most king products, these cogs come at a high price.
  20. I'm not a fan of viz personnaly. From what I've seen and heard a lot of people dont, some do though. I'm not sure about the hex-holes on the rims, surely the corners on the hexs' just create weak points. Seem's to me that they're too caught up in making things that look good e.g. colourful. And if anyone was in pompy on Sunday and was nice and early in the square (guildhall) they may have noticed a little blue and black bmx type thing riding around, and to quote Spacemonkey ''It looks like that bike has bee thrown up on by Viz''. I thought that this quote pretty much sumed it up. However, my opinion probably wont count as I'm sure there are a lot of people out there who dont have a problem with Viz.
  21. Commical! I like how you're usually a camera man and when it's your turn in the lime light you land on your happy sack. rub some ice on it for me.
  22. That's what I was trying to say, I just made it more complicated. Cheers Sam
  23. Doesn't it work like: 1 t-shirt is say £20 but 3 is only £50 (just an example) So if you buy 3 they work out cheaper per shirt but you still have to pay more for the 3. If that made sense to anyone.
  24. Grind, Plaz Pads and a good bleed (if running a maggie). I've had my grind (more like a light scratching) and plaz pads for almost 3 months, and I have never had to re-grind, my pads look brand new even after months (no wear) and the brake works like all brakes should AMAZING. I also used to use tar religiously but for under 20 quid you could get some decent pads and never have to worry, until re-order time that is.
