  1. aye listen to this man, you need to get the train to saltaire (Y) i will see some of you tomoz, what time you getting to wakey tomorrow rossi? about 3pm (Y)
  2. I went to college and did a National Diploma in Electronics Eng and did well (not the best) and got unconditional offers from Leeds Uni and Lancaster Uni (Guess whre i went (Y)) I tried to go to sixth at my grammar school, but hated it, but that was just probably my school! but what i am saying is that you don't need to go to a sixth form and do A-levels to get into a good uni! (though the oxbridge ones will probably want a-levels)! Your UCAS statement is very important too (Y) and as far as subjects go it is probably best to go for subjects that you enjoy and find interesting (Y) but i wouldn't do sociology though! mike
  3. I had to do this last night, after ten mins of searching i found a bolt the could just be popped into the bb axle and the head was big and strong enough for the it not to bend or get stuck in bb axle and i just used the crank extractor as normal  i think the bolt was off a star fangled nut that could have the front brake cable put throu it! as for your five pence, take other crank bolt off and tap it through with a skrewdriver or something!! mike
  4. sod it! same geo as ashton except 15mm longer top tube and then a slightly tigher headangle, to reduce the wb a bit and with a 90 mm stem, will make it nice a flicky, but still have the same cockpit room, for gaps and stuff!!! damn custom bikes making me think to much  mike
  5. eek i was thinking of going for a 74.5 degree headangle, may slacken it a bit!!! i was thinking of getting the toptube/wheelbase 15mm longer than my ashton, but according to clive jon shrews ashton copy is 1030 with pashley forks, but my et is 1003 with pashleys, so i am unsure what to do now!! oh well got a month or so to decide Actually, please can anyone with an et and pashley forks measure there wheelbase, because i wanna see if i have bent my forks (Y) mike
  6. cool vid dudes :P :P :P hahaha rossi what a bell!!!
  7. yeah thinking about it you seem right. if i want it tighter i should make it 75!! damn this is confusing!! because obvisously if it was slack as fook it would ride like a lowrider!!
  8. Rightio Gents!! I am just wondering what the head angle on the Ashton ET is? Pretty Sure is either 73 or 74 degrees, but can anyone comfirm this? Please... Also how does the headangle effect how the bike rides? A tighter head angle (e.g. 73 instead of 74) should make the bike better/easier on the front wheel, but how else will the ride be affected? thanks dudes mike
  9. yep i will be there :P should be bob on!!!
  10. Would the toned down version use a stock or mod stem? I wondor what the highest bb rise that can be got with a normal stock stem? Anyhow the bike looks sweet, wish I nabbed a go on it (or the vinco) to see how these high bb rise bikes ride! mike
  11. have you read danny wallaces book 'join me' thats awesome too!!! as good as the dave gormans books (Y) (Y)
  12. (Y) :) :) yep that counts!!! damn i am crap a this (Y)
  13. Sorry but its spelt wrongly, because it is not underlined (hypercondriac i am talking about ) if it comes up bold on google, just means someone somewhere on the internet has spelt it that way!!! Dave Gorman rules (Y) gonna have to see the dvd, but I have read the book!! I ain't found one yet (Y)
  14. I have the album knocking about somewhere :) will have a dig tonight and try and find it (Y)
  15. yeah your best bet is to let it blow over, don't make a fuss! say you will take it home and leave it at a mates house/room for a couple of weeks (Y) I kept mine in my room and they didn't seem to care, but my room was prefect for keeping bikes on the left hand side of my room behind the door there was a foot wide gap kept two bikes there!! they did provide some 'safe' cycle storage, but it was a metal wire cage thing and all the bike just got rusty and you could see what bieks where there, with no securtiy cameras or decent lighting and you could have broken in in a couple of mins with a phillips screwdriver! get a house its better, the last two house i had were ace! I had an entire basement to keep my bike in! (Y) mike
  16. yo steve, whens the 24" video coming out?? mike sorry should have read the topic :"> (Y)
  17. the van sounded better at 90 than it did going slower :( and the drive between llandudno and bangor was awesome I think us lot in the camper and rossi's panda must have overtaken eachother about 20 times!!!
  18. that wqas a top quality weekend dude :- i have an hour and a halve footage from the party, but i have no idea whats on it because my camera was just being passed around :P :D oh matt barlow has the mintest picture of ali c :P :D the indoor event was awesome and should only get better, plus nailed a couple of line that i was chuffed with!! big thanks for tom for putting it on :( :D :D thanks to matt (and his cool housemates) for the party and letting me kip this weekend!!! :P ogwen on sat was mint, even though my tires had were slick as shit!!! :- and the bangor street was cool!! rossi and stan gaps where mental!! rode bangor today which was cool! mike

  20. is it just a standard cassette lockring, like of shimano cassette? (i can bring one of them) or is it a special profile thingy
  21. yeah adament (echo) is pretty good!!! handsome dog do a semi decent cheap ass one!! 5 bolt bashguards are so rare these days !!
  22. but the dmr ones bend rediculously quickly!!
  23. yes they will all work together, but the dmr ring thing isn't that good!! the gold martin hawyes one is good, someone help me out can't remember the name. the bolts are fine, but you will need some outer bolts for the bashguard too :ermm:
  24. i f**king hate that!!! my mates girlfriend actually likes it :) its the bloody bane of cable/sky tv and those bloody mobile phone adverts are shit! aaaarrrrrggggghhhhhh its in my head now!!!
  25. its shame to see the justice go longer (this ain't anything against long bike, there are cool :) )as I thought it was the best riding shorter trials bike out there! I hope it is black though because you know whatever happened to paintjobs :S but it wouldn't suprise me if the streety ashton is basically the current justice geo, but with a more traditional frame design. that would be cool!! as for the end of the et, its sad to see them not making them any more, but they weren't build strong enough if you ask me (though mine lasted a good while) good to see ashton is continuing developing the bike he wants to ride!! mike
