  1. Aye I would like that its been really good on xda forums
  2. I hate to say this because it usuall pisses people off in their current situations but.. us/we/humans are so f**king shallow. We definitely LOVE some person, whether it is in our past or current relationship. The problem is if we lose that person or have lost them already its really hard to "move on"... right up until the point a new girl comes around the corner and shows some interest. It is suddenly a great feeling to know someone wants and is giving you attention. It is shallow.. but it works. So as club card said.. the best way to move on is to actually move on and find someone else. If you can't then dont worry, just concentrate on friends, concentrate on a social life and get to the gym and deal some pain on your body knowing someone else can appreciate your efforts in the future.

If the flash is the clincher for the deal on a new phone then the nexus s is exactly as the galaxy s internally + has a flash on the camera.

Fact.. Rarely ever used my camera on my phone and using it in pitch black when a flash is required = even less likely to be used. I am pretty sure I read somewhere that camera phones are useless above 3mp anyway due to the size of the lens. Having a 8mp or 12mp like some of the nokias were boasting were useless

Aye I forget how the setup is on android 2.1 but when you hold down the middle button on android 2.2 it brings up your minimised apps for you to click on to load them up again, but also at the bottom of these it has the "task manager" button. That then opens up to allow you to kill and or uninstall any running apps, view all system processes and view your battery consumption charts.

na he is correct. Galaxy S doesnt have flash, the nexus S is the exact same phone internally but has a flash for the camera. However, I too looked at getting either a dell streak/htc/galaxy s originally. As you said the streak is just too big, infact when you are in a phone shop holding it the phone is a huge brick and totally puts me off. I thought the galaxy s was quite large but after reading a ton of reviews pitching it against the htc's the galaxy s just seems to be that little bit better. I never wanted an iphone as to be honest I hear too many people complain (but I suppose thats what you get when so many people use them) so I just went for the galaxy S and I can honestly say I havent made a mistake! If you get it, upgrade the firmware to 2.2 and it really pisses on most phones at the moment. http://www.fonehome....ties-do-battle/ Here's a review I just picked up from google, its worth just looking at a few before deciding. Remember galaxy s is now running android 2.2 which is quite a big leap forward compared to what 2.1 was and most reviews even state how the galaxy s would be ahead with 2.2.

As I said at the start it is actually retarded to be buying some of these phones on contract. The iphone is by far the worst for it ever. Im on 02 simplicity, 30 day rolling contract with 700 mins 1400texts and unlimited net for £20 a month. I bought my phone off ebay unlocked etc and it will be far cheaper than an iphone contract with a lot more.
  8. I always hear people at work mentioning they watched some of the premier league matches online for free... Anyone have a clue what sites they might be using for this? Loads of the boxing day matches arent on tv =[

Precisely.. and not being stuck in some apple fan club always gets the thumbs up from me =p. You would really have to be a moron to pay for an iphone contract, they are SO expensive for what gains? It's as if everyone wants to pay for the "cool" factor which is hilarious. I hear Android 2.3 is on the horizon and I'm scarily excited the update from 2.1 to 2.2 was awesome. http://developer.android.com/sdk/android-2.3-highlights.html But without sounding too petty I believe microsoft got fined millions for creating a monopoly, locking down software and in general being faggots.. but I really don't understand how apple have been able to do exactly the same and no one has said shit..

why do you want to use opera? the standard browser is perfectly fine. Opera browser is only decent on old touch phone such as samsung toco etc It really isnt cut out for new age smartphones. You hold the middle button to bring up currently running apps yes... but I dont get what other method you were expecting? By the way you do not need to kill apps using the task manager.. linux os manages all of that for you. If apps are not being used or more memory is required it will kill the apps for you. On a note to this, please for the love of god dont go downloading advanced task killer, under the impression it will stop all the apps loading and using your battery. The whole point of the OS is that it doesnt use the battery if the app isnt being used. Exactly the same as wifi/gps. Are you using froyo (2.2 build)? I can honestly say the galaxy s out performs the iphone at the moment. You would have to be clinically retarded to pay for the contracts to get an iphone. I bought my galaxy s outright off ebay, unlocked etc with no branding. I pay £20 a month for 700 minutes unlimited net, unlimited texts with 02 simplicity 30 day rolling contract.

what downfalls you found? Ive had mine for 4 months now and its pure win
  13. Definitely is, can spend a couple hours there. Always remember going along the harbour wall and gapping between where they have those stone pillar bits with the 20ft drop on the other side to the water whilst i was on my onza t rex.... how ignorant i was to danger back then! good times.
  14. do i spy porthleven! ive done a couple of those lines too when i go down on holiday with my parents! so weird seeing another rider on that stuff
  15. As I said earlier in the threard, Lib Dems were the natural enemy of the conservatives before the labour party came about. They will side against the conservatives regardless.
  16. I would be very interested to know how many people here are voting Lib Dem "just because" and who are actually voting because they believe in Lib Dem policies. Afterall, liberal democrats were the forerunners to Labour/Newlabour etc. Their natural enemy therefore is Conservatives. I don't want to sound like I'm personally attacking anyone's reasoning here..however during my time as a student and even now it has seemed to be the "in" "cool" "different" thing to say you are going to be voting Lib Dem. I really noticed this when I was at university and some of my friends would always go on about voting for the 3rd option because the other 2 are all the same and the whole "britain sticks by the underdog" who is always going to be the Lib Dems. I don't want to generalise but even on this forum you can see a wave of Lib Dem voters who have the same attitude, a couple of die hard voters sure, but in my opinion it is far easier for the Lib Dems to sit back and say "yea but labour/conservatives have f**ked up every time they have been in" without actually having anything substantial they can claim they have done themselves. Lib Dems have always come off as being the fence sitters, the party that people vote for because there aren't many other alternatives (or people are bitter towards the other 2 main parties) and a party that only has to sit back and take shots at the other 2 MAIN parties to score brownie points with voters. I didn't watch the debate, I did however look at the front pages of 6 newspapers at the petrol station before I went in to pay. Newspapers are typically swayed to a political side, however to be honest bar the Mirror (which seemed to think labour had trounced everyone in the debate?!) every paper did say good performance by Lib Dem with a close second to Conservatives. After having some motorway driving to think and hearing a bit of radio chatter regarding the debate, did Lib Dems actually put out a plan? How will they be putting their balls on the chopping board to ensure that the country comes out of the recession better off? It all just seems like there is no concrete proof behind any of the thinking behind Lib Dem chat and I have to say, the media arent making it any easier and I really dont think a "who should I vote for" site will give you any real indication. All in all I can say, why vote lib dem? if I wanted to take a more realistic standpoint on that comment: If you vote Lib Dem and we end up with a "hung government", which polls have shown is 100% possible. Then what do you think the consequences are? As I stated earlier Lib Dem are swayed towards labour due to having the natural conservative enemy. So chances are a Labour side will get in, However much worse than this is Britain is an Island, we rely heavily on European contact. A hung government does nothing for our credibility especially when working within UN. If a country can not pick WHO they want to run it, then what does that say to every other country who is going to be influenced by our actions? "They cant even decide on their own policies so why should we have to listen to them?" .. I think the situation is a lot worse than people realise and like I said I dont want to knock anyone back for voting Lib Dem, I'd just like to understand if they know their entire reasonings behind it.
  17. Conservatives for me. 12 years of labour 12 years of no control. Quite a honest post I read on another forum in reply to conservatives being no better than labour: This was all followed up by quite a length post on government "reinvestment" by labour: However overall I will have to say, I've worked in the public sector (DWP) and it is honestly a f**king disgrace how it is all run. Not just the DWP but the public sector / civil service. To put it bluntly, no one gives a f**k about tax payer money, there are 0 consequences to doing a "shit job" and they employ some of the most retarded people I have ever met in my life. There is a tiered system to pay.. I was on £20k at 23 and there were people nearly double my age on less who had been in the civil service for 20+ years (You dont get promoted unless someone dies/retires). There are people who are taking away over £20k but have been on the sick for 4 years. There is no such thing as a deadline, there is no consequence to losing millions of tax payers money etc (which I actually saw £30million be lost due to a department "forgetting" about some work they had to do). So whilst I can vote for conservatives and believe there is a need for "change" I do not expect MASSIVE impacts to happen. Government/Public sector simply is not run like a real business, there is no cut throat market they have to deal with like in the private sector so overall, I believe 90% of the policies to be pushed through and changes to be made wont ever actually materialise. There are people out there who are not received a pension due to the inadequacies of the public sector due to a huge back log of work (over 50 thousand cases outstanding). There are people who have subsequently died before their claim ever reached the right department (10 years+). Its all a farce and nothing will actually change until governments have consequences for their shocking actions. If the public sector does not run efficiently, how can they be running a country and providing the services that are needed?
  18. I'd love to write a long post but I think its up to you guys to sort out, she's right though.. it is ok to feel like that sometimes. People dont go through life having everything easy there are days when my girlfriend f**ks me off so badly and I feel the exact same as you did. However, you just have to think screw it.. she's the person who has been there the whole time through good and bad its time to snap out of the mood swings and just get things back on track. They wont ever go right if you dont try and push them right so like I said before, think about some things you are putting before her and stop them for a bit until everything is sorted.
  19. I rarely post on here but to be fair it seems Shaun is the one with the problem and the gf reaction to it all is perfectly normal. I think you've just started putting other things first, such as riding, which to be honest is fine yea.. but you cant go through life putting the things you want to do first and not expect it to hurt other peoples feelings. I guess that statement also applies to madmanmike. You will be feeling so 50/50 with her shaun because you are likely getting to the age now where the relationship really can take off in to future plans. You are at the age of fully leaving all education and moving towards careers etc.. so as a bloke.. you are going to question everything you have/do in order to set yourself straight for the next step. To me, it seems like she's the right way to go but sadly in your own confusion you are f**king up the possibility of having someone there for you who could infact, help you through things.. kind of like how she wanted to talk to you about the MOT stuff? she wanted to talk it over for reassurance/someone to bitch to because after all you've had a 4 year relationship you aren't just a couple you are best/very good friends.
  20. I used a referral website which i then used my link advertised on ebay for others to sign up through. It resulted in a free nintendo ds + pile of extra stuff. They do work.. if you choose to use them its up to you. I would say however, if you cant be bothered advertising your links.. dont even bother signing up. You can get around 300 views of your link to every 4 actual signups. edit: to the person above, they often check the legitimacy of your referrals before they come up on the site as being counted (from my experience of the other site).
