  1. PS. count the number of spokes on the front wheel.
  2. Did I get the wrong forum? Can a mod move it please if that is the case? Many thanks. :"> I got the tyres at a really good price - but will upgrade when I have some spare cash.
  3. Most is new - appart from the saddle, wheels (no be replaced), shifters and brake levers (HS33s going on soon). The rear mech is also an old part which I had laying around - it feels fault, so I will be replacing that with a short mech. It rides well, but I have not done any street or trials riding for over 10 years. Some things I can still do, but I'm having trouble getting the rear wheel up - so I've got to work on that.
  4. My first trials / street bike! Finished it on Tuesday and went straight of for a ride - feels pretty good. The bike isn't exactly as I want it yet. I need new wheels and some Magura HS33s, but appart for that, the bike is done. The spec as is: GT Hans "No Way" Rey Frame (limited edition), On One steel forks, Middleburn RS7 Trials cranks, USE Carbon seatpost with Flite Trans Alp seat, Hope Titanuim hubs (borrowed off my XC bike) with Mavic rims, DMR Mag pedals, Maxxis High Roller tyres, Shimano V-Brakes, LX shifter and RD, 8 speed XT cassette, Easton EZ70 Vice Bars, Easton EA50 Stem, Hope skewers....etc. The whole bike is just short of 25lb. It is hard to ride at the moment at the rear brake feels terrible - but the HS33 will go on soon. Let me know what you think  Thanks.
  5. I need to get some new cranks, possilby Middleburn trials cranks. I'm not sure what length to go for. I use 175mm on the XC bike, but I;m thinking of 170mm for the trials bike. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.
  6. I sent that user a PM last night - just waiting now! :)
  7. But it looks so good....... :)
  8. Forgot to add - that includes black spokes which add £16 to the cost - cost also includes postage. I'll see if I can stretch the budget to a hope on the rear then. I've never broken a hub in 8 years of riding - but then I use hope hubs on my XC bike (unfortunately only 28/32 hole so I can't "borrow them").
  9. I want to build up some wheels on a budget - also want to keep weight down too. Would standard Deore hubs with Mavic 721CD rims (36 spoke) be a strong wheel? I can get these built up for £150 delivered. I'll be using Maxxis High Roller 2.35" tyres with them. If not - what would you guys suggest for around the same price? Many thanks.
  10. Nobody has the RC32s in stock (I phoned about 20 places) and Pace have stopped making them. I have bought a pair of On-One Steel forks. They are about 1100g and are 420mm long. They should do the job well although they are a little heavier than some others. Thanks for you help guys. :S
  11. Cheers for that info. Those forks seem perfect. Typically airevalleycycles are closed on a Wednesday..... Thanks. :P
  12. The DMR forks weigh 1.6kg though - way too much. :-
  13. I am after some longer trials forks to go on a frame designed for 100mm travel suspension forks. I'm told that the Fly Guys are 430mm. Is this right? If you have some, can you measure them for me please? If they are indeed this length, they will be perfect for my bike - although they may need painting black. :- Thanks in advance.
  14. Let me know if you find any good spots as I live in Chichester. I'm still building up my trials bike though, so won't be out and about for a few weeks yet.
  15. I'd go for the lighter ones - 1700g is way too heavy! Cheers for the photos. (Y)
  16. I am interested in buying a pair of these in the long version as my frame is designed for 100mm travel suppension forks. Does anyone know how much they weigh? Also, there are three colours available, but I have yet to see an image of the mat black ones - does anyone have one? What would be the widest front tyre I could fit with this fork? What other forks are around at around the 420mm+ length that I should consider? Many thanks.

    Pedals?

I just bought the V12 mags - look superb and are the perfect shape to get decent grip. The shape is similar to the early '90s DX pedals and the GT pedals - but much lighter. All pins are replacable as are the bearings.
  18. Where can I buy Onza stuff online? I have tried www.trailsshop.co.uk but the bars and stem pages doesn't seem to work. Cheers.
  19. What length and rise of stem should I be looking at? Also, what rise bars should I get? I'm about 5'9" tall.
  20. I'm looking to buy a new stem, bars, seatpost and possibly forks. Are Gusset items any good? I've never heard of them myself, so don't want to end up buying a lemon. Thanks for any advice.
