in winter (rain/snow/wetness) surely you should use a softer pad? so that it grips more in the 'orrid weather? meh

it'll [probarbly be a bit of metal (from the ratchet) that has snapped off(only a shaving). all you need to do is clean it all out and then wack it back together. btw, this happened to mine once and also one of my mates ones. nowt to worry about :S

you haven't even told us what went wrong with it, so how are we meant to tell you the cause? i presume you need to get to the ratchet ring and pawls? if so, take the hub out of the frame and simply pull the driver off with your hands. sont bother with chainwhip or large spanner as thats for mounting the cog only. hope this helps

are you sure its a different pitch? the helicoil is effectively a coil or wire, i dont see how the pitch can change between the outside and inside of it? ala : http://www.boellhoff.cz/images/helicoil_vrezu.jpg but yer, i can see it being slightly stronger due to the diameter of hole it threads into..... :)

i have no pics im afriad :) but its basically like the freshproduct thing, but it sits on the inside of the frame and has one hole only for the axle. i made it myself :santa: its purpose is to tension the chain when i bring the backwheel in enough to set the brakes up :) ta Will
