  1. new cable can be the problem most times, and see if the frame flexs as the brake pushs against the rim if it does alot then get a booster for it
  2. rong question mate. what you should of asked is what is the best disk brake for under 70quid? and your answer is the avid mechanical bb7 the are cheaper than hydraulic brakes and are just as good if not etter when set up with a good lever and cable, really are the best value for money disk brake i think. i run one and at first i wasnt sure weather i should get one because i may hit it but i have landed on it a few times and they are alot stronger than you think, and you dont catch it as much as you would think.
  3. usually ive half of what it was new or less depending on condition.
  4. rap it in a turban and then sit your helmet on the top
  5. sorry regarding my last post after writing it i tried to edit it so my thoughts came out rong lol i dont understand proper why they have made the made the bikes with not as good components. as i see it you buy a t-pro because it is a great value for money bike with maguras and a decent frame so why put a vee on the front of it and im assuing other stuff isnt as good because it is cheaper than last year, but i can see the up side of upside of it now being cheap and it still being a decent bike i would jus liked to see it with maggys imo. and the t-bird they have put a vee and cheap disk on, as i see it you got a t-bird because you couldn't quite aford a t-pro but wonted a decent bike with maguras so i would of liked to see it with maggys still. the t-comp i would of liked to see more specced up may be with a disk, because the t-pro frames is a really good frame to ride better than the t-mag i think so would of liked to of seen a really high specced t-pro. but i can see the upside of all these changes giving still a good bike for less, they just not quiet what i would do
  6. i put a tensile freewheel on a muscle man crank and now due to me changing to stock i need to get the freewheel off the crank but the freewheel has tighten on so far down the threads that i cant get the bb tool in to get it off wondering if anyone has any ideas of how i could get it off. cheers hudson
  7. long stems are for bunny hops moves usually and the streety moves, but they arnt usually as good on the back wheel in alot of cases.
  8. looks better with out in my opinion. tarty will have them i should think
  9. are they having a garaf. i would at least expect a disk if they arnt going to use the t-pro frame. who ever buys a t-comp will no what its like to get raped because thats what it is really.
  10. at the top of the page theres a banner advertising all the trials bike shops may be it would be a good idea to have a look on there. and im sure that select would build the bike up for you if you told them the spec you wanted. infact im certain they would. the onza bike ranger is usually the best started bikes as they are great value for money but if money isnt a object then theres so many different frames you could get depending on your taste which im asuming you dont realli no yet as your just starting out. but id say dont get a long bike or high bottom bracket bike as they are the complete oposite of a bmx and it mite take you a fair while to get used to making you not improve as quick.
  11. it looks just like the new hope moto brake. which you can get with a new vented rotar but will empty your pocket at 209 squids. is it the same brake or is there an actual difference. but for the brake at 160 quid it seems like rape when you can go and get a 203mm avid bb7 for about £100 and they are f**king amazing brakes, or even a 180 is shit hot even on a 26'. just seems silly to pay extra for a brake that wont preform any better and is harder to set up and theres more to go wrong oh well perhaps its just me thats thinks that.
  12. my personal favourite is to use the pad review section theres a review on pritty much every pad
  13. it is thought as being one of the best value for money bikes if not the best, and are one of the best bikes you can learn on and are good frames to ride even if your not a beginner as ben slinger has one. i learnt on one and had no complaints. just dont let your freewheel come loose make sure the lock ring is always tight and you should be fine.
  14. good vid liked it alot liked the music aswell went well with the riding.
  15. on youtube theres a video of ryan leach telling how to do different trials moves and im sure the sidehop will be there. its just practice you need. just keep trying and trying untill you get it, and dont get a head of your self and practice on something to big as you wont improve.
  16. i think it is going to be about 1010 and 55bb rise. thats what tarty told me a while back but they couldn't be deffinately sure that it was going to be that but that is around what it will be
  17. use the pad review theres loads of reviews there im sure that will sort you out with your answer to which pads. and also use search theres any awfull lot of pad topics, im sure they'll be of use to you.
  18. i would say get the rim off your mate as it saves money and they arnt all that bad, pointless paying more and getting a new rim from a shop when you can get that off your mate. as for the hub get an xc if you can aford it they are a decent hub if you cant im not sure but im sure someelse will be.
  19. get a avid bb7 you wont regret it they are amazing brakes and a fraction of a hope and so easy to adjust and set up no oil to bleed just stick a new cable in every so often, and they hold really amazing.
  20. if you have rode the monty pro and liked it then i think you should be looking at something with a short wheelsbase such as echo lite, t-lite,any monty as there all short, and any of the short deng frames may be not the zoo though as that is 1025 abit longer than around the 950-1000 area of what a monty is. the next thing you need to find out though is do you like high bb. and then with them to bits of knoledge choose the bike you like the best weather its looks or strenght if your harsh or is available at the time if your buying secound hand. hope i could of helped just try and ride as many different types of bikes before you make your decision, such as a long and short wheelbase bikes and high and low bb bikes then find what you like best and go from there. all the geometry to most frames available are on tarty aswell. hope ive helped
  21. khe chain for the win they are really good chains, you can find one on tarty just make sure you cheack first that the chain fits onthe casset at the back if your a stock rider because they are slightly wider. but really good chains in my opion.
  22. looks lush would look even better with a black back rim very nice though mate
  23. if your looking for something similar to your t-poo then a echo lite would be a good choice. otherwise go on tarty and find a bike with the geo you like, you have got to remember when it comes to what you think a bike rides like it a personal thing and you shouldn't be persuaded by others because they have one and like it. you echo freehub will all deng frames such as zoo adamant ect. and will fit pritty much every other frame out there as hub axels are a standard size so all frames are made to fit the same axel size.
