The weight of trials rims is really puzzling. I weighed a few Echos, the heaviest was 899g and the lightest was 850-something. Tryalls weigh between 690-800g (from my experience at least). Why this should be I have no idea, but it's pretty awkward since you'd think they're made to a certain standard.

22:18 is very heavy. If you want to learn to gap properly, you should use a lighter ratio. Gap with your body, not just by pressing the pedal.

You need them to learn, you need them to do big stuff and push your boundaries. Maybe it's just a coincidence but my experience with pro bikes is that none of them had good brakes. In fact, some had absolutely no hold at all. I like riding with slipping brakes but only if I'm not pushing myself. It makes riding more fun, especially if you try doing things brakeless.

You need to change the pixel aspect ratio from HD anamorphic (1.333) to square pixels. Besides, there's no point using 1080. There are very few (if any) consumer HD cameras which can actually capture more than 700 lines. Just use 1280x720 and 50 fps and you'll get the same quality and very smooth motion. Recommend using the WMV format in the Adobe Media Encoder. 30megs/minute of very high quality video and audio for 720P50 If you're smart you can use H.264 but that's way more complicated and you'll have to ask JJ to help you out. Download it, and load it into Adobe Media Encoder. edit: forgot to add that when you use 1.0 pixels, you'll need to change the resolution to 1920x1080.

Yeah it's funny but these pads work incredibly well on smooth rims as well as on a harsh grind. Definitely don't get Echo pads, they're no good. Don't know about the rest. You might want to consider HSB Snowys, put some on my mod yesterday and they're incredible (smooth rim).

Thanks for the comments guys. I run a trials shop so it wasn't hard on my wallet. Will put some 221Ti bars on it in a moment, they're bound to improve things.

Chain and bb/cranks snaps. Still got problems with riding after a bb snapped on a drop I did in 2002 or 2003.

Well, decided to get myself a mod and see if I still hate 20" bikes. And I do Probably going to put this thing up for sale, need a good ride first to make sure. Either way it feels really good for a mod. Dan's done fine job designing this frame
