  1. The weight of trials rims is really puzzling. I weighed a few Echos, the heaviest was 899g and the lightest was 850-something. Tryalls weigh between 690-800g (from my experience at least). Why this should be I have no idea, but it's pretty awkward since you'd think they're made to a certain standard.
  2. That'd be a tragedy my friend Thanks for the advice, I'm sure the bar/stem combo isn't too good but most annoying is the 71* head tube angle. I just prefer the front wheel to be tucked nicely behind the bars.
  3. Yup, that's how my Hope died. Didn't have DOT and used water. Besides, what's the point of a water bleed? You do it on maggies to make them more responsive, there's no need to improve the responsiveness of a disc brake. If yours has lazy pistons, I suggest you have it serviced because there's bound to be something wrong with it.
  4. Stocks, no question about it.
  5. Most popular frame of spring 2008? I'm finding it harder and harder not to get one with pictures of all these amazing builds being posted
  6. 160 if you're sensible 180 if you want a brake that will never let you down 203 is overkill - heavy and who needs so much power
  7. What phones are they? Symbian run Nokias have a pre-installed utility for transferring such data between phones.
  8. 22:18 is very heavy. If you want to learn to gap properly, you should use a lighter ratio. Gap with your body, not just by pressing the pedal.
  9. That's shockingly nice and light. But if you get a front Schwalbe Nobby Nic, you'll get it down to about 8.4kgs
  10. You need them to learn, you need them to do big stuff and push your boundaries. Maybe it's just a coincidence but my experience with pro bikes is that none of them had good brakes. In fact, some had absolutely no hold at all. I like riding with slipping brakes but only if I'm not pushing myself. It makes riding more fun, especially if you try doing things brakeless.
  11. Nice! Really enjoyed that. Good riding and a funky tune That guy on the turquoise stock needs to relax a bit
  12. Bollocks. If that was true, nobody would ever be able to make use of the warranty because it would always be void due to inappropriate use. I know quite a few people who broke their hubs, sent them back to King and had them fixed for free.
  13. You need to change the pixel aspect ratio from HD anamorphic (1.333) to square pixels. Besides, there's no point using 1080. There are very few (if any) consumer HD cameras which can actually capture more than 700 lines. Just use 1280x720 and 50 fps and you'll get the same quality and very smooth motion. Recommend using the WMV format in the Adobe Media Encoder. 30megs/minute of very high quality video and audio for 720P50 If you're smart you can use H.264 but that's way more complicated and you'll have to ask JJ to help you out. KIKI720P50.VPR Can't do a direct link to the file else it'll display in text form. Download it, and load it into Adobe Media Encoder. edit: forgot to add that when you use 1.0 pixels, you'll need to change the resolution to 1920x1080.
  14. Street because there's no natural nearby. Otherwise it'd be natural all day long
  15. If you riding for Ozonys means we won't be able to download any of your new videos, I'm sure 99% of the riders out there will want you to go back to Koxx. Take the hint.
  16. Yeah it's funny but these pads work incredibly well on smooth rims as well as on a harsh grind. Definitely don't get Echo pads, they're no good. Don't know about the rest. You might want to consider HSB Snowys, put some on my mod yesterday and they're incredible (smooth rim).
  17. Yup, they're so so good. Good to see you on a stock, looking forward to a video.
  18. That must have been one of the best TGS videos I've seen to date. Really relaxing music and some nice smooth moves there. You've got a very nice style.
  19. Thanks for the comments guys. I run a trials shop so it wasn't hard on my wallet. Will put some 221Ti bars on it in a moment, they're bound to improve things.
  20. What a beauty These frames make 18T rockrings look huge
  21. Well, it seems you've won. Only finished mine a few hours ago Very good looking bike, must ride brilliantly as well!
  22. Chain and bb/cranks snaps. Still got problems with riding after a bb snapped on a drop I did in 2002 or 2003.
  23. Well, decided to get myself a mod and see if I still hate 20" bikes. And I do Probably going to put this thing up for sale, need a good ride first to make sure. Either way it feels really good for a mod. Dan's done fine job designing this frame
  24. I can see where you're coming from and I'd agree if it was much longer. Please do a longer video...
  25. Brilliant riding! That's the kind of style and moves I like to see most in videos. None of this TGS nonsense.
