  1. Posted this a while ago. My pride This happened about 6 years ago, the seat tube completely detached from the bb so I just used lots of rope and duct tape. Lasted about 3 months.
  2. If you could be bothered, dismantle the Echo lever and have a look inside, I bet you it'll be full of scratches. If not, then one needs to look for the cause elsewhere. One thing is certain, if a woman were to be a bike part she'd have to be the Control brake, menstruating all over the place
  3. Master cylinder and slaves. It's nothing to do with a water bleed you lot, water doesn't scratch the inside of the cylinders. I'm currently working on a brake that has lost all it's fluid after 2 hours of riding. Already regenerated the master cylinder but I need to wait for some Magura slaves to arrive since it's impossible to get at the Echo ones and those are leaking badly. If the Echo/Magura hybrid will hold it's drinks, I'll post a short guide about repairing the lever. That's probably the only thing you can fix in the Echo brake unless one can dismantle a slave. Will find that out soon, need to cut one in half to see how it's built first.
  4. Actually downloaded one part and it was well worth it (warm up). Some incredible power moves in there
  5. Been wondering what would happen if you gave a rider who's used to one of these oldschool machines a modern stock bike like a GU or Vinco. Would they say it's impossible to ride or would they find it better and easier?
  6. Too many gaps I like your style a lot, want to see more different moves!
  7. Well if you say it's really flexy then the Echo one might not be enough. Quite surprised you should have this issue, the KO has an integrated booster which should help matters a lot. I've got the Echo one on my Triton, the brake is fairly solid with it on - with it off, the brake is quite spongy and doesn't work at all. You could also try the Tensile 4b booster, it's twice as heavy as the Echo so it will be much stiffer. Haven't got any experience with it though.
  8. Haha as I understand it, their summer is often too hot to ride, so they get to ride properly in the winter Brilliant video though, look at the amount of mods there! And Gerardo's riding is just amazing, it really reminds me of the trials videos i used to watch 6-7 years ago.
  9. Bit like with the Koxx Boxx, not my cup of tea but I like it because it's so unique. It's one of these frames you actually need to see in real to appreciate.
  10. I've tried quite a few boosters and the Heatsink one was by far the stiffest. I'm not sure if Steve still makes them though. Unless your brake is really spongy, I'd just get an Echo 4-bolt booster (the black one). It's fairly light, small and most importantly - works pretty well.
  11. What an absolute retard made this video. All that could have been compressed into 800MB with almost no loss in quality! That is all.
  12. Wouldn't recommend them. Just get some Plazmatic or Heatsink pads.
  13. Theoretically yes, practically - i don't know. You'll notice when they get loose though, so don't worry about hurting yourself.
  14. meh, didn't notice this topic is like 2 years old
  15. Undo the bolts and ride around. The cranks will drop off.
  16. From past experience I can say that a 180mm Mono Trials is way more powerful than any rim brake setup I've come across on a mod. There isn't much play on a mod wheel, wouldn't worry about that. As for a profile, yes it's possible but you may have to do an adaptor bodge since the disc mount on the hub is in the wrong place. If you want to go rear disc, don't get a 6-pot Hope, get a Mono Trial. It's more powerful, lighter and doesn't come with a floating disc.
  17. Really good music choice, went very well with the video. Don't quite get why you messed with the aspect ratio though.
  18. What broke inside the hub? Nice vids there.
  19. Thankfully this doesn't concern me but even if this was enforced which is highly improbable people would quickly find a way around it - be it encrypted RAR files or just files without an extension...
  20. Nice, smooth with some basic lines. First vid of yours i actually enjoyed.
  21. What's the point of stealing/destroying things anyway? I don't get you guys.
  22. You'll be best off with a Raynox if you're looking to spend a small amount. The Raynox HD-3030 is a semi-fisheye, 0.3x angle, as standard comes with a 37mm thread and loads of different adaptors. It costs about 75 pounds over here but I guess the UK price should be about the same.
  23. Do i have to make use of the curb in the video? Got an idea for this one but I don't think I'll be needing a curb, might just get in the way.
  24. Now that's how you should ride a mod! You've got a really neat style and i love that bike Want more
