  3. ace. we tearing up lincoln this weekend then? you seen my new setup?
  4. you sorted your wheel yet?
  5. push the wheel all the way into the mounts with the cams on the inside. fire on the chain. notch the cams round to push back the wheel+ tighten the chain. when it's tight. tighten up the bolts? or have i missed something
  6. yeah, but does it have a mech hanger,or can the hub slide along the dropouts like in a mod?
  7. you using the crazy thing that lets you have a mech hanger?
  8. i have a bald try all tyre you can have?
  9. i'm rocking a zen V, i'm really impressed with it it's f**king bombproof softwares prety decent to i recomend them.
  10. thought there was a 10 bag lying around in my room once, wasn't so much the tenner i could've lost but if someone else found it....
  11. ace i'd well consider one of them if i wanted a new little bike the new onzas are well awesome edit: what brake cables are they?
  12. probably base it on hospital visits/costs + deaths caused by it? meh, looks about right. wonder what class they'd make tobaco and alcohol. who on here would continue drinking and smoking if they made it class C or higher?
  13. the power and conveniance is worth the weight, i hate bleeding brakes, and if you get brake fluid on your pads/rotor it's game over also if your on a big ride, would you rather buy new cables + fit in seconds, or source out a bikeshop and get new hosing + a bleed? [it's an extreme end of the arguament, but cables so much cheaper ]
  14. what dremel do you use, i was thinkin' about buying one, link?
  15. he's right, well easy to get spares for mechanical brakes, usually prety cheap to. i run dual avids there rediculous:) but you have to pull prety far on the lever to get a hold, might not be your bag if your used to hydro.
  16. caustic soda will get the anodising off. be really careful with it though, 'cause it'll munch the alloy on your frame if you leave it to long, make sure threads/headset/dropouts are watched. otherwise, sandpaper + forever...
  17. looks good, how are you gunna do the finish on the frame. it will look awesome if you can get a brushed look like on the lite.
  18. of course it will, take a grinder to em
  19. sounds an awesome starter bike. but you don't need to run a ffw and a pro2, since they both freewheel, must sound aweseomt though. loose the tryall like said. and find some local riders asap you'll progress way faster with people to push you.
  20. you running a ffw or freehub? square taper or isis? I need something that will be good for high speed things but good enough for more skippy, technical, static stuff. thats more gearing than crank arm, but shorter cranks make the gear feel harder but you can get a better sprint out of them. longer cranks give more leverage, making the gear feel softer and giving more power. as for actual cranks, try-all ones are expensive but light and incrediably strong. DO NOT get the echo forged cranks there around £50 and the threads die really fast if you run a freehub, get middleburns if you can afford there freakin' awesome i'm running meta cranks right now and i'm really impressed with them lots of nifty features to save the threads and they feel really stiff and can take a beating
  21. you should've gone to town on the seat tube. looks nice though
  22. mechanics revision > big brother.
