  1. Just a quick one lads and lasses. Please don't forget to post your entries off this week as soon as possible. We will be going up on Sat am to mark the sections out. (If any one wants to help out just pm me) The venue is Oakworth quarry near Keighley, for those who didn't ride there last year it is a fairly small venue but very very challenging. We are going to try and run beginner route seperate from other routes so as to get the many little ones round a little faster bless em they all nearly froze at the last one. Thanks folks see you all there. John, Tyketrial
  2. Yep I'll second that one Niel. p.s. some good moves yeterday nice one
  3. Update. Got the new chain. God knows what it is cos Waynio put it on for me.(sedis or sram me thinks) went for a ride to work on her and wtf it was jumping and skipping like nothing you have ridden before. Any way back to the shop for a new rear block, fitted and running as sweet as you like..... Happy days, I'm off out for a play tomorrow, can't wait. Cheers for the advise lads .

  5. yep it needs to change as it should do as it is a mountain bike after all. (RE 6 working gears rule)
  6. On my way to work this morning my bloody chain snapped just as I put the power down. Next thing I know I'm on the floor with my butties all over the road, traffic everywhere and to cap it all off the bloody bike then came back at me and hit me on the head. What a complete and utter fool I felt :$ I guess it looked quite funny to passers buy but sh1t oh dear I was not at all happy. The chain was launched into the forecourt of the nearby Renault garage in anger. My question to you lot who are fairly heavy and have a fair bit of power is.... What chain do I put on next and yes it will need to run up and down my 8 working gears.
  7. Mmmm ? 990mm wheelbase you say Ben. Looks like they have just released Robs next bike.....

  10. Oreet Ian how did the old buz cope with the snow eh ? Chris boyes is a great lad, very helpfull and patient with me and Rob. He should worrie a couple of folk this year, he is very quiet but his style speaks for itsself. Reminds me of Doug Lampkin no show man not at all flamboyant, just gets on with it and gets results. Go Chris Boyes !
  11. If people can't be bothered to put gears on thier bikes what chance of taking British championship rounds seriously have they got. If you are passionate about your sport you have to abide by the rules. It is a simple as that. What is the hardship of gears anyway. Put em on set em up and forget about them. I run em and would not have my bike any other way, and I don't even take part in the British rounds.
  12. It is because stock has evolved from mountain bikes. Rules are rules. You can ride but you won't score any points thats all. I think you can ride your propper class at these events, if not you will have to ride open class, so it won't stop you competing, however if you are serious about winning then you will have already resigned yourselves that these are the rules. Many people practice with single speed but then add gears for comps. I can't see what the fuss is about. All sport has rules witch if not addheared to usually end up in disqualification or some form of pennalty. Trials is about rider and bike set up and preperation. fail to prepare.....prepare to fail. Rant over See you all at the British rounds this year WITH working gears.
  13. MMMMMMMM! Very nice, it looks very light indeed. Exciting times ahead for young Robbie what with all this new stuff comming out. I hope they bring a little bike out soon to replace the Wasp. I wonder what else they have got up thier sleeves for next year.
  14. I had a go on this bike yesterday. I tip the scales at 14 and a bit stone...ahem ! It holds very well indeed and has a good feel to it, it looks propper as well, may well have to see about sticking one on Robs bike some day.

  16. Take a look at this guy. Now he is a real inspiration. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=656193898147576910 I thought it was a piss take at first but it isn,t Sorry if it has been shown before, I couldn't be bothered to check.
  17. Amen to that !!!! well said who ever you are. You can't please all of the people all of the time. But if you are very very lucky you may just have a glimmer of hope in pleasing some of the people some of the time but don't count on it.
  18. Just a tip buddy, you will not get validated using that text talk language. I can't even read it.
  19. Get your ass up to Shipley glen it's usally got a decent set of lads to ride with. See you there some time.
  20. yes I can second that, it is the BIGGEST buzz in the world to see your offspring doing there thing well and enjoying it. Even now it still brings a lump to the old throat when he wins owt. Those new dads will be 20 foot tall all week and they will be boring the pants off there work mates, I know because I do it all the time.
