    Pad Reviews

Pad used: Toxsin (red) Time Used: 2 weeks Rim used: Alex DX32 19'' Grind: Yes (light) Tar: Yes, but only a bit Brake Used: Magura HS33 no booster, magura oil bleed Other pads ive used: Plazmatic CRM's, kool stops How do they compare to other pads uve used?: The best although i didnt run my plazmatics on a grind so im not sure. Review: Right these pads are suppose to be quite soft and they felt quite soft when i first got them, so i put them on, and went out for a ride and they locked really nice and felt really nice. With a wet rim they didnt grip quite as well but they still held quite nicely. So far ive been riding with these for 2 weeks everyday for at least a few hours and theres no major signs of wear. Im very happy with these pads especially as they were only 10 pounds. And when they wear down i will probably get another set, unless i try something else.
  2. That rock climbing one was really bad
  3. This should be a good ride, theres a few more people coming from winnersh now, 11 outside the station??
  4. Dave and Adam at tartybikes, they've made a great shop that sells great products with brilliant prices and service.
  5. Happy new year everyone, lets hope for a better year!
  6. How about saving and buying a t-pro complete??
  7. Nothing much good has happend this year for me, but i spose the summer holidays was pretty awesome when we use to go to our industrial estate and get chased by the security that was a laugh
  8. Im almost definately up for this, im sure some others from my area will come as well.
  9. The zoot looks good and is a bargain i think.
  10. Yeah im guessing around 6-7mm, the fact that new pads may rub on a wide rim is the only thing that puts me off getting one, oh and money
  11. I actually really liked the camera angles it made a change and suited the music, although to much of it would start to get annoying. Anyway great vid and great riding looked like a fun day
  12. Nope none for me, and i could have done with some new ones
  13. Well in the winter on a normal week, i usually ride for about 1-2 hours after school on 3 out of the 5 days and i usually go to reading or sumin on the weekend so your looking at about 10 hours a week probs a litte less. In the summer i ride every night for about 2-3 hours and usualy ride for a good 6 -1 hours on the weekend.
  14. Love the python and the t-pro You certainly have a lot of bikes lucky bugger
  15. I dont listen to music when riding, but if i did probably a bit of everything except stuff like slayer, pantera etc
  16. Thats exactly what i think as well. I think the best mod rider would have to be Benito Ross or Cesar Canas there amazing in comps and can go big as well. Stock, maybe TRA?? or Akrigg both very good riders.
  17. I dont think it hurt his feelings, and he was just correcting you and basically telling you to think before you type. Well i think as more people get into the sport and it gets more popular components and bikes will become cheaper and more companies will start making trials frames, or new companies will open. I also think it will get to a stage were its physically impposible to sidehop any higher than what somebody like CLS or Benito ross can do
  18. Computer in my bedroom as my mum and dad have bought a new one. A new phone, few ps2 games, brake pads, armourdillo, and a few other things.
  19. I bought one of ebay from mark anthony which is trialsshop, i have had bad service from them before but the armourdillo came in the next few days and was very cheap (around 12-13)
  20. I just use some plain grey and black fox shinpads, very comfy and after riding with them for about 10 mins you forget your wearing them . They cost me around the 30 quid mark about a year and a half ago (they last along time). The only downside with them is ventillation, there very hot in the summer and can get annoying but in the winter there nice and cosey. I say get a pair of them if they still make them . Ive also got some 661 Veggie shinguards (think there veggie) again there very good, but they dont offer as much protection as the fox do but are a little cooler for the summer Hope i helped Jules
  21. Would love it with normal stays, but hate those other ones, also i dont see the point in them apart from making the bike look bad??
  22. If i was looking for a long bike then ZOO! python, but if i wanted a short bike then the the Monty 221ti is a complete beast Hope i helped
  23. The vids not bad i spose, wonder how well aorta will do.
