  1. i personally dont but a lot of my mates do. they all ride shercos or gas gas's. ride on portland down south. tis an awesome place for all things trialsy!
  2. bottom of my garden i have a quarry, out the gate into the quarry, rocks pallets stone everything you could need
  3. hi i am looking at getting a 2nd hand echo urban frame. i was wondering if may people have had any experiences of these bikes and what they thought of them. i know it says urban but would it be any good for natural riding aswell and any other things you thought of them welcome. cheers chris p.s would it be any good for a first stock bike??
  4. echo team. nice frame rides nice and looks pimp!
  5. definately run race face if you can. best bb's out very smooth and strong and long lasting!
  6. agreed, i have goodrige on my dh bike and they are awesome. no problems what so ever good, effective and come with a doog warranty!
  7. i have always ridden mod but am now selling up and going for a stock! im 6'4 but thats not the reason. coming from a downhill backround and still riding downhill i am just more comfortable to a stock because its what i know!
  8. thanks people thats helped, what are peoples opinions on bb rise then? good bad and what are the pros and cons of it.
  9. hi people sorry if this doesnt deserve its own thread but i have seen poeple going on about +20% bb rise or something like that i think and wondered what the hell it actually meant and what difference it makes on bikes? cheers chris
  10. my mate has got one and the only prob he has had is a bent mech hanger which is nothing specific to the frame. beautiful bikes though ride so nice!
  11. http://www.eengoedidee.nl/videoz/?search_f...o&submit=Search look on there mate. zoo 15 is him and is also a great vid!
  12. i think sections are better to ride! for videos i think a good mix is the right thing. big drops are good to watch in moderation and even better when backed up with nice flowy sections. not nesercarily natural but not just up or down. it needs to be up down left right forward back all in one section!
  13. i definately prefer natural but that may have something to do with where i live. there is very miniamal street around and a hell of a lot of natural. also as previously mentioned there is so much more to do on natural terrain wich i find makes it more enjoyable!
  14. i agree with the 05 t-mag. does look like a good build for the money and judging by t-pro's ect should ride nice aswell!
  15. yeah my mate showed me that the other day, does look real nice! i see what you mean about them being parralell but i thinkb with the actual bash plate on there it would be slightly different and it does seem to be quite a way behind the bb!
  16. oh man trials is cheep compared to downhill. my dh bikes is soo expensive, like 4 pairs of tyres at £30 a tyre, £200 helmets, gloves, a few pairs for wet days, body armour, spd shoes if you run spuds, my frame is bout 1500 with my forks at 1100 and then racing where entry is bout 50 a weekend with new rear mechs every other race as i just seem to wreck them, then suspension tuning and servicing, wheels when they brake, its just insane but i love it soo much i dont care!!!
  17. just behind me house is a stone mason and a quarry so we go and ride all there off cut stone and all the palets they dont use which is a hell of a lot. they have massive piles of them everywhere so we just use them!
  18. hi people here are some pics of a couple of my mates riding, they are taking on portland in dorset and if you look there is some awesome riding around here. here is all the images in my pinkbike file http://www.pinkbike.com/modules/photo/?op=...otouserid=46245 all the trials pics are off my camera phone so the quality aint amazing! cheers chris
  19. i used to have them on my downhill bike, they have amazing power but i think would be a bit much on a trials bike. and would need setting up fine but i say try it and see what happens you might like it!
  20. i race downhill just gettin back into trials, getting a bmx soon, used to ww kayak but now do racing in kayaks. also sail from time to time.
  21. just get out there and ride them and see how you feel on them. i would say get an echo because it has a bash but that is my opinion and everyone rides differently.
  22. well im 6ft 2 and like a short mod. i just find it so monouverable and more fun to ride, i also like to go to bash so mod suits that. i rode my mates bt raven 5.0 and i just felt weird and i couldnt get on with it.
  23. portland south dorset. part of the jurassic cost and the place is a natural trials heaven, if anyone has seen or heard of portland bill they will know what im on about, also the large amount of quarries with piles of off-cut stone which are also perfect!
  24. with the size thing i am 6ft 2 and much prefer the shorter bike. i am getting a short echo team soon.
  25. holy mother of f*ck that is gnarcore. mine was a few weeks ago on my down hill bike, slipped out and nailed my hip on a rock and chipped it and took off all the muscle aswell!
