  1. hi mate i own one myself and have done since the beginning of the summer. absuletly love it, i have the long as i am over 6 ft and it feels really nice, as previously said bb rise takes a while to get used too but when you do you wont want to go back!! i have ridden natural and street on it and find it really nice on both. in comparrison 2 poeple i ride with own an adamant a1 and the gu. i know the set ups are different as i run a higher rise stem then both of them and im obviously biest but i do prefer mine!! out of there two bikes though the adamant is definately a nicer ride that the gu. again this is all setup and my opinion. get out there and ride these bikes and make your own mind up!! cheers chris p.s heres a pic of my one. . . . .dont judge a book by its cover!! http://www.pinkbike.com/photo/?op=list&amp...otouserid=46245
  2. please not pink pretty pretty please!! i think pink has just been and gone, if done tactfully can look alright but im just not a fan. pewter would be really nice or just plain old black. cant go wrong with black as it will never go out of fashion!! cheers chris
  3. fork and front brake are a really good choice, personally i am a massive hope fan and i think it is a love or hate type thing with hope. with regards to the rear hub i'm not sure that the pro II hub will fit the mod frame as the spacing im pretty sure is different on the rear triangle. i'm sure someone on here will be able to confirm what i said or correct me if im wrong, good luck with riding!! chris
  4. best place ive ridden and the main place i ride is still portland. always something new there with the quarrys constantly moving around bits of rocks ect and more pallets than you could shake a stick at!!
  5. hi people, i personally run try-all rims but am not that hard a rider and dont do big drops. my mate is much better than me and runs echo rims, he gave his 06 one a good couple of flat spots but now has an 07 one and it seems really good, i think i would go for echo if i had to buy new rims. cheers chris
  6. yeah i agree with pendle, especially if you have a tow-bar you can get ones that hold the wheels so frame shape is irrelevant, if that doesnt work though you could always revert to just whacking it in the car. cheers chris
  7. yeah jay awsome pics first few taken by me!! Portland is the most amazing place for trials, because the quarry is still being used the lines are always different so there is something new to ride there every day. all the quarrys are huge and there is also portland bill which is another natural haven for trials. and to rub it in a bit more the quarry where all the pics are i can see out of my window right now. it is litterally at the bottom of my garden!!
  8. at the moment id definately have to say rear wheel!! hope pro II trials on fluro yellow try-all rim!
  9. hi people was out riding yesterday when i slipped the pedal, put my foot down akwardly and it twisted pretty hard. went home iced it, tubi gripped it ect and wasnt too bad this morning. this is the second time ive done this and the first time was alot worse. basically i was wondering if its worth getting trials specific shoes instead of my current etnies? would they give me any more support in these situations and is the grip really that much better on the pedal? im not asking which ones to buy so please no pointless posts saying buy these ect and i have also done a search to check im not repeating and if i am can someone please show me the way and shut this topic up all help apreciated cheers chris
  10. do things progressively, for example find a wall that is small on one end and big on the other and work your way up it, also what i find helps on my DH bike is if i close my eyes and visualize myself sticking whatever it is im trying to do, then on the next run in i tend to stick it! cheers chris
  11. i like that attitude, had maths today like everyone else, wasnt bad, english tomorow! good luck everyone for that!
  12. i know this may not be to some peoples taste but here is my new Czar Ivan its a long and i also just got the new rear wheel which is a pro II trials on fluro try-all rim, and if you hadnt guessed it the theme for this bike is random!!! p.s nicest riding bike ever and thats a fact!! cheers chris

  14. hi people i am going to be getting a long Czar Ivan frame and wanted to know what size stems you ran, i am looking at the echo HiFi stem and someone said to me 130 by 15 and someone else 130 by 30, will be on zoo riser bars if this makes a difference? any help greatly appreciated cheers chris

  20. "confidence . . . Confidence is everything man". sorry but thats a quote from a downhill racing film and i think it is dead right. you can build up skill even if you dont have talent it just takes sooooo much more practice but even cls and tunni had the skills one day but they didnt have the confidence. it may come when you settle into you bike fully or after youve tried some big things but i think you make the step up with an explosion of confidence! it really is everything in this sport! cheers chris
  21. thanks alot for that mate, i think im gonna have to get me one of those iron horse frames!! could someone also do it but make the iron horse frame black. cheers chris

  23. it depends what bike your runniong mate. on my mod i had 18-12 and i just put 18 14 on my stock which is quite heavy but nice.
  24. if i was you mate i would keep the job abd the cricket but not the football. trials should help benefit the crickit with the upper body strength and explosive leg power for running down the wicket. cheers chris
  25. i know this may sound silly mate but have you looked on tartybikes and selectbikes yet? also the czar website but that doesnt have much info on it just pics www.czarbike.com.
