  1. Morning all! I'm currently riding a 2005 Onza T-Pro, basically known for being either a brilliant bike for a medioka beginner and possibly intermediate but the frame wouldn't last long. As much as I like the frame, It is in fact my second after threading the bottom bracket, but I got a new one on warrenty. Anyway, I'm after a bit more of a frame that is as strong, easy to ride, lighter then my pro and something that looks better then a pro...so, as well as just being any other manufactured frame, instead, I saw the Monty 221 Pro, now, to me I love the frame. I saw this frame on cleanbikes and its selling for 140, however that doesn't seem right (or does it?) as the onza t-pro is sold at 170, and surely the monty frame is better then then onza? So, questions are; 1. Your opinions (obviously) 2. Is the price right? 3. Is the monty frame any good? 4. Does the monty frame have a rear disk mount? Thanks.
  2. I'm Matt, 17 years old and a Health and Safety Manager in Derbyshire. I started out riding biketrials in September after riding motorcycle trials for 11 years. After 11 years of it, it began to get a bit saming, so I decided to move onto bikes for more reasons then one. I always wanted to ride street stuff on my motorcycle, however, I'd be arrested as quick as a flash and obviously, I didn't want that. So, biketrials was that way forward! After looking on a few websites I found Supercycles, which was about a 30 minute drive from where I live, so I preordered my Onza T-Pro (2005) from there and collected it the following week. After much falling off, destroying my shins, going over the handlebars and all that jazz, I started to get 'somewhat' good. It happened as a gradual, yet noticeable stage. I would go out, have a bad ride (as we all have, where you just mess everything up) and then I would be busy for a week, go out again and I would discover something new and practice it until my hands bleed (literally). So, before I knew it I found my balancing point and could hop on the back wheel for a while aswell as project, do some small gaps and shit like that, which I thought was great for only riding for about 2 months of riding...right?...yea...thought so too. Anyway, a little fact about me is that I'm the worlds biggest show off; having ridden motorcycles for 11 years made me like that, but hey, I'm not afraid to admit it and everyone is a show off, if you can do something well, show it off, right? So, back to the life story, I started trials at, technically, the end of summer, leaving winter with shitty weather, leaving slippery surfaces and shit brakes...fan-f**king-tastic I think you'll agree. So I just stripped my bike down and greased everything up and grinded my wheels. Soon after that the threads on my bottom bracket screwed up, and a new frame was with me on warrenty (thanks supercycles!) but now, as you may have read my other post, the brakes on my onza have buggered up on me...so whilst I'm waiting for parts, I'm bikeless, and I've not had a good ride in about a month...and its starting to annoy me now. I went to derby the other day and two lads were playing on the square on a 26" Zoo and a T-lite...I wanted to join in, so the mission is, at the minute, to fix the bike up and ride in derby and feed my habbit. So, hope you all enjoyed the read!
  3. That is unless I'm mistaken, I bought the bike in about September 05 (brand spanking new) , so I imagine it is fitted with 05 mags? Please correct me if I'm wrong. parts ordered now, many thanks.
  4. Ohhh, perfect! :) Many, many thanks! Great help!
  5. Okie Dokie, I'll try that when I'm home (stuck at work now). Any ideas for getting hold of cheaper levers then the carbon fibre ones I saw (supercycles)? No shop seems to stock them around here (Derby). How do I get the piston out? :) Thanks all!
  6. Evenin All! I recently removed both magura brakes from my t-pro (05 frame, 05 brakes) and gave them a good clean after riding in some shitty weather. All in good condition however I noticed that one of the pistons was sticking, so I gave it a bit of a spray with silicon but no help, so after reading up on here I decided to bleed them and fill the system with water because it was worth a try (with the input on this forum) so try it I did...it worked, but the pistol STILL sticks. I'm sure its a common problem, see it will come out occasionally, but not go back in unless I press the other piston in and level them out manually, and then it sticks again and again. So thats problem number one, a sticking piston, as for problem numero...two...I fitted the brakes, and my brakeS (yes, both of them) had a 'lock on', 'metal against metal', 'wont budge' feel, and the TPA didn't move at all, even when I took the lever off...assuming now that the TPA thread is will and truely screwed (no pun intended) however, after a wee bit of research I cant seem to find replacement magura levers, I can only find 120 quid magura compatable ones, not the original ones, not that I would mind paying 120 for the levers, but its nearly Christmas and I can do without the cost at the minute. A bit pee'd off because now my brakes are rubbish (whereas they used to lock on with a smooth rim and tar, but now with a grinded rim, tar and a booster, they seem to have gone worse then better.) All advice, opinions, help, abuse greatly appricated!
