  1. looking very nice john, looks like you're a dab hand on them old bridgeports, should have had it anodized ash
  2. Fred what day is this likely to be posted, as most of us are setting off late thursday evening/ friday morning and won't have access to a computer. Regards Ashley Smith
  3. agreed, top day, some good sections and the weather was kind to us, some top crashes today! thanks to all who made it happen! roll on fort bill ash
  4. the only thing that worries me with the headtubes machined like that is the fact that after repetitive hooks and taps, it may start to ovalise, this was my only worry to the zenith frame of waynes that i machined, they may not crack but after abuse id image that it will ovalise slightly, maybe giving problems with the headsets, i.e. not being able to tighten etc. ash
  5. sounds like the frame needs a severe amount of material taking off like i did to waynes, strip the paint then anodise
  6. yer matts been up today, he said he got his forms late this week, should be good hopefully, fingers crossed for the weather! hopefully speak to you tomoz wayne. been to see owen again this week! ash
  7. any colour anodising available, yes, but no flourecent ive just done a full frame for waynio, did a lot fo machining on the frame as well, any of the british lads from koxx days should have seen it, it was a zenith, with all the headtube lightened, cable mounts removed and internal cable routing, then anodised blue, no flourecent colours can be done, but generally a satin anodised finish or a bright anodised finish can be achieved to pretty much any colour except white, this is dependant upon the quality of the frames material, the material used for the zenith 7005 series, was surprisingly good qulaity and machined well and anodised brilliantly. i think blasting/ shot peening the frame first gives a better finish with a more satin anodised finish, in terms of bashrings though, i can machine to any shape and size etc, ive modified lots of the original bashrings to suit 20 tooth sprockets, add me on msn if you need details etc trialnoir@hotmail.co.uk cheers ash
  8. I am available for machining middleburn bash rings, to suit varying needs:- any milling or turning jobs undertaken, quick turn around, quality job, anodising available etc regards ash
  9. top job, looks really good quality! did you braze or tig weld the frame? and what type of materila did you use? t45? ash
  10. the trophies from hope have just arrived at my house, i must say they are rather smart! good luck to all entering, i wish i could win one of those trophies, they are phitt! should be a good event on sunday for a good cause! hope ben really enjoys the day! ash
  11. not in the near future they won't be, not a big enough market
  12. No wonder that welding is such poor quality with all those slit eyes welding = 2 day account suspension + 24hrs posting suspension.
  13. i think the kamels are now available, go see www.cleanbikes.co.uk

very swish, my frame is soon to be purple! or maybe orange..............hmm decisions
  15. i don't trust starnuts, they tend to break, never had a problem with a head doctor
  16. either way 80 is way too much, some lcoal companies will do it a lot cheaper than that
  17. i'd say the search function personally
  18. there the pro 3 straight pull spoke hubs, different by a mile to the other pro 3s and only available as a wheelset ash
  19. ther not 'road hubs' there all roudn hubs like the mono series were, i.e. suitable for road and xc use, i would stick to a pro 2 rear, the pro 3 rear isnt a trial hub, merely a mountainbike/road/cyclocross hub which only has 24 eps, the fronts would certainly be up for the job though hope now alos do pro 3 straight pull hubs which are completely different to the hubs linked above aswell as the others. more info at www.hopetech.com ash
  20. do away with those holes, they would act as a weak spot, potentially allowing the elevr to snap at one of those points if the bike was dropped, you wont save that much weight either ash
  21. we braze titanium at work, special braze is used and its a bit more of a complexed procedure than the type of brazing you use for steels, welding titanium isnt easy either, everything has to be soo clean and a sufficient supply of shielding gas
