  1. well one of the main points in companies sponsoring people is to big up their products, but i can think of one or two riders that are actually sponsored somehow and dont actually let the products do the talking, i know plenty of people who shouold be sponsored but arnt, people just put their points across in different ways. personally id be a crap sponsored rider as i would end up saying 'oh well x company does this better' etc etc. in my opinion the best way to get a products quality across is to have someone beat the living daylights out of it and show everybody what its made of , not fill us up with technical crap that everybody gets bored with, i want to see things in action, not be blubbered with theories and facts.
  2. oh yes get one, they look the doggies and are really smooth, although i have been running a cheapo ultimate hardware headset for around6/8 months and it never comes loose and still runs smoothly. not that im saying you should get one haha, echo echo do it
  3. yes id go for the pro 2, i have the same set up on the front with all black everything - 721 spokes nipples and the hub, it looks pimp daddy and its really light, although i could of gone for the lighter option of a mavvic 717 but i didnt for a bit more strength into the equation. Everybody has XC's even bmxers. spend that extra and get something that not as many people have. you also have the bolt through option with it, not that ud want that on a trials bike anyway. but ye pro2
  4. mine is 7foot and seeing as though im not very smooth, i have stopped there, they are only appealing to chavs really 'ere mate wots ur biggest drop' rings a very loud bell anyhoo, being a beginner and drops doesnt really matter, it jus shows you dont care about your bike and have the guts to throw yourself off it, drop gaps are much better and scarier. theres this lil kid who we know and he pedal hops off 6 ft drops, his v brake doesnt lock up at all and he cannot back hop in a straight line. that just proves you dont need skill do to a drop, thankyou please
  5. nah my XT what i used have flexed my frame like crazy, they are powerful
  6. *all the while you should be thinking* 'ill just wait for trialnoir(ash) to help me out with my sticky situation' because hell be able to tell you everything. :arabia:
  7. nice im liking you laying the tables there.
  8. i'm with joshyboy on this one, this is the second time ive had to big up the echo team today. team all the way, they ride great and look the shiznit.
  9. heloo, i really like my mates long 20" GU BUT, there is another option which i think you should consider - an Echo Team, i love them(baring in mind i ride 26), both of the bikes ride nice but there are a few members on here who would back me up on this, check out the echo team, its bonza dont set your mind on one thing otherwise you might realise you missed out.
  10. well i started on my jump bike then all of my mates ended up riding trials a lot, so i joined along with the trend and here i am now.

    New 20" Tra Vid

not bad??? sheesh, you are hard tp please arnt you haha. oh the joy of having a tiny bike like that to thrash around, it still doesnt make me want one though.a stonker of a video
  12. yes thats right, i cracked 2 bases in about 7 months, the new one in three months, i had a seat in it AND so what if im a bit on the harsh side with a few things, its a trials bike for crying out loud. although it does ride nice i would now strongly advise against it, i now have an ashton justice and love it, its really chuckable, yet feels great on the back wheel. the base and t-rex are totally different in goe! have a look at wheelbases inbetween like 1060's thakyou please
  13. to be honest i would just stick with what chrishayton said, i am running a low rise kore stem on my ashton, its not high but i really like the feel of it anyway, i have had a hop around on one in aire valley with a high rise try all stem and i wasnt too keen on it..
  14. heres my ashton justice, i got the frame last week.
  15. theres a clip on MBUK but theres a lad who does the next not so big drop on a HARDTAIL with dirt jumpers on it, i nearly had a fit, but wow, yes, he was givving it beans wasn't he
  16. personally, i didnt like my 661's when compared to my new dianese, the 661's make you sweat like jacko at a whacky warehouse birthday party. save the extra £20 and spend it on some dianese, i have had mine for a few months now and they still dont smell and i dont tend to sweat in them yet they still give off loads of protection, they are light, look the doggies and are very comfy , rave on. thank you please
  17. dont bother with a hope trials, i dont like them, most of them are too spongy and need too much maintenence, you know that ash(trialnoir) as you mess with it a lot. normal minis(with my mates anyway) perform better than the trials for some reason. most of the people who i ride with and including my self have taken a very good and id say reliable and cheaper option with the Avid BB7 cable disk, they kick ass for less than half of the price of what you are looking at . just have a look and have turns on other peoples bikes if they have disks.
  18. as it says in the title i have just spotted a crack in exactly the same place as my old silver base this morning,(weld on seatstays to the seat tube) i am now a sick of this and i want to move onto another brand, i am thinking along the lines of a woodstock, does anybody have any objections and have a better idea, no more than £350, that is my limit, i am taking my frame into airevalley tomorrow. thankyou please
  19. so colin you are just going to 'have a ride around' you are not actually going to do any trials?? hehe. soz had to be said. i would come but i cant
  20. well i think dannypro1 wants to go to preston otherwise he would of put up a blackpool ride wouldnt he, maybe me and 2 others might get there, ill post up in a day or two depending on if we are or not.
  21. front 1. avid speed dial 7 lever 2. avid bb7 160mm 3.fibrax cables and standard avid pads rear 1. shimano XT calipers 2. avid speed dial 7 lever 3. BBB soft compound pads 4. grind 5. fibrax cable again and my vbrake is set up correctly so it actualy works unlike a lot of vee's. personal preference though i like them.
  22. what has a double disk front hub got to do with a rear dishless hub, by the way, im bloody loving that rotor
  23. id prefer a damn good street ride to a quarry ride, even though i suck monkey ass at natural i still really like it and would never hesitate to do it. plus natural is fairly new to me so i havnt got to gips with it yet because all we usually ride is street anyway. Because we dont ride natural as much as we do street, i think we tend to enjoy the ride more.
  24. it was brought up a few weeks ago, and i have finally got my ass into gear since release day and got my live up and running, send me a message my name is 'pauljosh211' if you fancy a race or whattever . thankyou please
  25. yup you can tell with the braking methods and the stance on the pedals, i dont know about the rest of you but i can sure as hell realise if somebody is actually good or skilled in someway/used to a trials bike with the way they stand up and pedal, especially chavs who dont even know what a trials bike is as they have boaght it for 20quid, they tend to be all stiff and look like they have been ring pieced. they pedal with the bike moving from side to side so much and have more or less a full hand over the brake lol. lots of other people just dont seem to be relaxed on a bike.
