  1. So i got 267 quid for my GU frame and fork that i just sold. As said in my last thread i need something streetier, easy to bunnyhop. And now im a bit more specific about what i need, a frame, fork, stem, and a bottom bracket, preferably from tarty, i was thinking about spending 300-350 on the frame at most, and then a good fork, stem and BB for that. The one`s that im looking at is: Adamant A1. Echo Control Echo pure Zoo Pitbull Czar. Onza Limey 2 Ashton (Where can i get them?) All of them is 07 models. Or maby Czar freetrials, if it`s coming out soon, i dont want to wait until march-april. I want it really streety, going to ride with an Ea70 or Tryall bar depending on the frame. So help me decide, i`m a bit sceptic to high BBs nowadays since i found it insanely hard to bunnyhop from rolling with my GU. Thanks
  2. any idea of where to get it, and price? Looks really interesting
  3. Been there, done that, lost my t-shirt. I got one in my garage:P
  4. 400 new? For the whole bike? Or just for the frame? How long waiting list is it? I`m not in a hurry anyway, getting cold here in sweden now, soon to be snow
  5. Yes a 24" would be really nice, havent seen so many of them though. tarty only got one i think? Anybody know if they will get more in stock soon? I would prefer getting my bike from them
  6. So it seems that i`m getting my GU Typhoon sold, i have about 900 quid to spend. I need something streetier, something like the zebdí, but lighter maby? I would like a bike that`s easy to bunnyhop, manuals and so on, since i`m only riding street really. Do people still ride with long rigid forks? And how does it work? A lot easier to hop? I have an EA70 riser bar and a Alex dx32 rear wheel with DT Hugi hub and sora rear mech, so i dont have to think about those parts. What frame and other parts should i buy? Cheers
  7. A mate of mine sold me a hope mini mono for about 50 pounds with new pads. Thanks for the help everyone=)
  8. Alright, will check it out, thanks =). Whats the difference between "real" hydraulics and hayes so1e?
  9. So im planning on getting a new disc brake rear for my Specialized P.2. Right now im having hayes sole disc brakes, it`s the worst piece of sh*t i`ve ever used, didnt really think you could go that wrong with hydraulics, but obviously, hayes could. Since i`m also a trialsrider and really love the bite of my hope mono trial front on my GU, i was thinking about getting the same on my jump bike, but rear instead. I think it`s enough good modulation and really good bite for my trialsbike, and i want a really good bite on my street/dirt bike aswell. What do you think? Would it work?
  10. Well for me 22-18 is very light, used to run 22-16 at first Okey, thanks for the help, just what i was looking for =)
  11. So im having a bit of a problem with doing backwheel taps higher than my front wheel. The thing is that when i had my crescent ilions i had no problem doing it, i had more speed then, cuz i had gears. But now on my GU it seems impossible, i have only one gear (22-18) and i cant do it. If i do it rolling i cant get my frontwheel to rise enough becoase of my light gear. And if i roll and just try to pull i cant get my frontwheel anywhere, (Is it extra hard on the high bb or do i just have the wrong technique?) And if i do it from still i cant get the height forward. What are your best tips? It`s good to be back at the forum. Cheers.
  12. I lived in swansea for a month in oct 2005, didnt see any trialsriders at all. Damn you for not being there when i lived there, i had to ride alone.
  13. I used my carbon bars for 4 years, fixed the dents with nail polis remover. not using it anymore though
  14. Well, id absolutely recommend 20" then, 26" will be wayyy to big.
  15. ive got 2 trials frames wich im not using (Ilions and saracen) A dirtframe unused. And A LOT of parts just laying there. And then i got a gf who`s a bike mech aswell;). We got something like 15-16 bikes in our garage
  16. I`d say new pads, if you get oil on disc pads they are pretty much useless, works like a sponge.
  17. And why is that? I really dont know, i just want to find out, cracking easier with sharp corners?
  18. seems like the toptube is longer on the koxx, and the seattube (?) is thicker on the onza, could just be the painting making it look that way though.
  19. exactly, it`s all about preference, it`s like asking what the best gear is, depends on how you ride, and saying that mono trial is bad is like saying 22-16 is a bad gearing. I would never go with an mechanical disc at the front, but thats just me, i love the modulation hydraulics give me, and i don`t need more power, never slipped for me. It`s all about how you ride.
  20. Hope mono trial is the most awesome brake ever if you ride smooth, i can see why some people thinks it sucks, but if you know how to shift your weight properly and dont expect the brake to do all the job youre just fine. i`m 84 kgs and got the hope mono with 160 mm, works amazingly well.
  21. Realdoll Here you go, cant go wrong;)

    Australia?

Probably just as hard or even harder, who want to sponsor someone doing a sport no one knows about .
  23. you need to re-bleed it, if oil came out, air came in.
  24. Specialized bought the idea from merida if i remember correctly. So merida was first.
  25. My cranks are far too close to the cylinders, so i have to buy new bb aswell as new brake pads soon, whats the pros and cons on long/short bb? Would the chainline be ok on a 128 mm bb? What width is it? 68 or 72 mm?. Got a typhoon 26" aswell with older middleburn isis cranks. cheers.
