    Flawless helicopter technique.
  2. If you like the feel and sweep of the bars there's no need to change, but I'd defo recommend a bigger/taller stem! Higher front ends are awesome, they make high BB mods feel more rideable rather than being a pure pogo stick.

    New Year's Eve

I used to live about a minutes walk away from MoS - the people in the queue and making their way there were enough to make me not want to ever go in there. That, and Fat Pants...

Which lever are you looking at in particular? None of them are particularly big - the SL looks like two twigs bound to your bars, and the TR looks broadly similar to an old RB lever or an old style HS33 lever (but nicer...).

By 'other bits', do you mean 'vaginas'? Wasn't particularly pixelated when it appeared on the BBC's coverage

The main problem with them is if the levers still have swarf or gunk inside the cylinder, it shits the seals up and causes leaks. If, when you get a new lever, you strip it down and clean out the cylinder and make sure it's all tickety boo you should have no problems.
  8. If you want to do it cheap, then a 26" 'street' frame would probably be for the best. There's the Rockman Switch which is available now, or the Because Simple which is about £215 - a fair whack cheaper. Seems a few other companies are planning on releasing a 26" street-with-a-seat frame, so towards spring sorta time next year you might have a few more options...
  9. Ali's running the 2.35" Maxxis Larsen tyres, which are actually as tall as Everest.
  10. You can't fit a 26" wheel in the rear of a 24" Inspired frame.
  11. The 610 (or 'Lite') will fit your bike fine. I'm running one of my mod at the mo, and Ad's is running one on his too. You shouldn't have any hassle, and they're great chains! They stretch quite a bit less than the 710 or 810 chains, so they should last you a bit longer even though they theoretically have a lower breaking point. For bars, I really can't recommend risers highly enough. They're way more comfortable to use for a start, make your bike feel a lot better, and you can really tweak them to get a better feel. With flat bars, there's not really much tweaking that can be done because they just become really uncomfortable, but with risers you can move them around a lot more and still have them feel good. If you click onto the media guides on our site, Adam does one about bars that'll show what I mean about the bar angle. It's definitely worth checking out, and I'd really recommend the Trialtech bars or any of the other risers you can afford. The Wingbars are a little narrower, but should be fine for a mod if you can't stretch your budget too much. There's not really much wrong with that stem either - I'm not really keen on the looks of it at all, and with that style of clamping it's a little harder to get risers in, but if the geometry is right for you then it's probably worth a pop. For the pedals, the Trialtech Race Platforms are about a quid cheaper, but the pins should last a bit longer than the DMRs. On the DMRs, they're just screw in grub-screws, but on the TT pedals they're proper beasty screw-in-from-the-bottom ones so they should withstand trials abuse a bit better. For the brake pads, pretty much the entire range of Try-All pads work well - just look at the guide on the site to see what sort of use you're going to be giving them, then get the correct set for your needs
  12. Yeah, got a newer new bike It's another Deng beast. Photos tomorrow! Should probably point out I've only had 2 mods anyway They were both Lynx frames, just one was 4-bolt and one was disc, so with those (and the Premier I guess) I've had 3. It's hard working at Tarty and not being sponsored, having to pack awesome looking stuff all day and having to restrain yourself from blowing your whole pay cheque on the latest shipment of stuff in...
  13. I'm a basher, and my proto Trialtech rim's held up fine. It was a good few months old when I got it, and it's still going strong now. Same with Stan's proto setup too - I know he's smooth, but it's lasted a long, long time, and Stan still does massive stuff so it's going to give rims some abuse no matter how good you are. The hOles rims also seem to be pretty strong too, we've sold quite a few to a variety of riders and not had any problems. I would say though that getting the best quality build possible will help your wheel a lot though! There's no point splashing out on a good rim then skimping on spokes and a build.
  14. Or you could do a Stan Shaw and sack off your King for some mega-click front freewheel setup?
  15. Is there any point in putting RRPs on their products if Rockman are going to sponsor everyone who rides trials in the UK? But nah, congrats Ben, hope it works out...
  16. I don't think anything's supposed to be said about it or anything, but there's a lot more than just moved brake mounts. There's quite a few changes over most of the frame.

    Zoo Lynx

68mm x whatever you want I ran a 68x122.5 on mine with a rear Magura and it was totally fine, and I'm running a 68x113 on my disc Lynx now with plenty of clearance. That's all with ISIS cranks, primarily with Try-All top dollar cranks.
  18. Whenever a swap happens, someone gets f**ked. It's never an even/fair swap, because if it was, what would the point be? As a result, all you have to think is "Is he f**king me over, or am I f**king him over?" If what you're swapping is literally just a white HS33 with standard black pads and some/no clamps, for all the stuff he's got, then you are fully winning. That would probably be a reasonably good V setup straight away, and you could get some slightly better V-brake calipers for not much £'s and have a pretty kingly brake for very little hassle. It's probably worth doing
  19. Bearing in mind how long it took them to actually pass each other, they had quite a bit of time to set up? There weren't any particularly well filmed shots there, just a lot of shit cut together really fast with a lot of it being in car footage. It looks like something that could quite easily happen on that road, and although they probably edited it to look more dangerous than it was, passing people on that road's gotta be properly shit.
  20. Yeah, CRT. Our living room's pretty big so it's not a problem.
  21. Pretty sure you need a special tool for it to get the bushing thing out, or something like that - I needed to replace a push-rod on my Mini lever but Ads said we didn't have the right tool for the job, so that was that...
