Yeah i used foamies for a while! Theyre great if you like riding without gloves, nice and comfy. But in the wet, its most likely safer without grips

I can do, and enjoy doing small gaps backwards Only a maximum of about 4 foot, but is still fun, as you cant tell wether your going to land on the obsticle your trying to, or totally miss it and break your neck

The m4 might be ok mate, but it will have more modulation than a mono trial! The mono trial being made for trials, has less modulation and more bite! You might get away with using an m4, but id go for the trial any day of the week.

Very good thread indeed mate! Im tempted to give comp riding a go this year. I met "the organiser" (his tf name) on a brm ride a few weeks back. I ride mod and would be looking to ride in the easiest cattegory. Please can you tell me the closest one to birmingham, how much it is to enter, when any events are happening. I would be very greatful, thanks alot
