  1. if you dont want to buy tensile mounts you could always save a little bit off your pads, thats what i had to do to get them into my monty. only about half a centimeter and now it works mint!
  2. i had the same cranks on my t-vee (also a shite bike) and they suck ass. i ended up getting armstrongs, which lasted me ok i guess. but the cranks you have got are rubbish as they are standard onza ones off a relitively cheap bike, so you cant expect alot mate
  3. foamies rule! dont bother spending the money on getting monty ones or anything though, go to your local halfords and get the long roadie ones, cut them in half and you get 4 pairs of grips for £5, cant go wrong!
  4. i got my 221pr on tuesday (thanks tarty ) and it feels soo sweet, side hops like a beast and manouvers sweet as!! get one
  5. the a1 is the only stock i have ever riden that i actually like. i rekon they are mint for gaps and throwing around (not a shade on my 221pr though ) i would deffo go for the adamant though matey, loverly frames
  6. are you after a mod or stock mate?
  7. no wanted in nmc mate. you really should read the guidelines
  8. i never thought of that,i will have to check that one out, cheers mate and cheers to everyone else for the fast replys, keep them comming
  9. nice matey, i love bikes that look like they have been used, not just sat in a glass case for years. but shouldnt it be in the gay little picture thread thing that no one looks at??
  10. As my monty should be arriving tommorrow i am considering going rear disk, but not sure what to go for? as it is going to be rear i want to be able to have alot of trust in it whilst gapping etc so will not want a crappy slippy one. also i dont want to spend too much money on it, so no carbon £200 stuff! i also think i may be able to get a hope mono mini for pretty cheap, so is that a good option to go for? i would appreciate reccomendations cheers, owen
  11. its all in the hips and shoulders mate. try turning very few degrees first and then build it up form there. took me a few days of practice to get these sorted but now i get them everytime. also try to very slightly pull your right hand (if your turning right) into your body. hope i helped
  12. i do a paper round and work in my local bike shop £50 a week isnt bad for a 14 year old
  13. mate you really should have read the rules
  14. i havent personally used it but all the reviews i have ever herd are bad, very bad. i rekon just get a grind and some decent pads
  15. i rekon you should wait for the gu you really want, otherwise when it does come out youl just be dissapointed. i rekon its worth hanging on mate
  16. i use halfords foamies on all of my bikes. i never wear gloves and i never get like blisters or anything. and you get 4 pairs for £5, so you cant go wrong
  17. come to solihull when i get my bike built up have you got an msn addy i can add you on if you want to arrange anything?
  18. wow! i absolutely love that style of riding, shame my street bike it a bit too 'parky' but good find mate
  19. i personally agree with the above comment (buy a built one) but if your on a very tight budget go for it. i have drilled my front rim, build it up and drill a pilot hole first (3mm i did) and then your required size i rekon if you are going to drill your own rims, drill your front first, and see how that holds out, as doing both could end in a nasty accident hope i helped
  20. yes i will be getting brand new as i work at a bike shop that deals with both hope and avid, so hopefully i will get a few quid off well i dont really have a budget (but wont pay silly money), but i was thinking best value for money. and i already have an xtr lever i could use and maybe some xtr cable knocking around my garage.
  21. thanks for all your fast replys! so does everyone think a 160 bb7 is my best bet?
  22. I will soon be moving to front disk brake and am unsure what to go for, and i have heard very good feedback from riders that use both avid bb7 and hope mono trials. So basically what i am asking is, is it worth speding the extra money to get a mono trials, or shall i just save the money and go for a bb7?? any help will be much appreciated thanks, owen
  23. haha, ill get my vee to out perform your mag
  24. because hes seen the light and yes, the heatsink adaptors in my opinion are just as good as having vee mounts, they dont flex or bend at all.
