Leave it standard! Or if you HAVE to do something to it, sort out the rust it will very likely have. Sort out any knocks or rattles it has. Put some Ford wheels on it, like mentioned, rs4 spokes look good on them. DO NOT try and make it loud or like a "muscle car" as its not! A car cannot fail an MOT if the air box is drilled! No box on the computer to say anything about air box drilling or modifications! Absolutely nothing they can say! And if they do, ill happily speak to the ministy for you! But Yea, dont try and make it sound loud! If you want it to be loud, then put a new engine in it! Or buy one already done which is registered as a 1L or something! Dont go slapping big exhausts on the back or plastic fantastic body kits! At the end of the day it will be all show no go! And mk1 fessies can look mint with very subtle mods done, dont do anything majour, as theyre rare cars, especially if theyre in good condition! Owen
