  5. Just an update etc I think the best bet to help me to become a pilot is to join the RAF. I have rung them up just now for infomation and they are going to send me a pack about it. He stated that i'd need 5 GCSE's and 2 A levels but i only have 4 GCSE's at the moment but he said if you get all your A levels this year you'll be fine. He also did a quick interview about my health and that and no problems there for now. So at the monment my goal is to achieve my A levels. JK

  7. Do only 25% get through because of money issues? Health problems? or trying to actually pass it i guess like theory etc?
  8. Hey peeps Im in my first year of A levels but im retaking them cos i did quite badly last year. But i've been thinking lately 'what the hell do i want to do when im older?' I have never had any clue to what i've wanted to do. I wouldn't want to be working in an office because i'd hate that. I'm more active and me being in an office is like going back to school with a massive EMA and i want to enjoy my job aswell as my life. My uncle is working as a trader in the office based in hong kong and he has to work from 8am till sometimes as late 1am and gets home at about 2am. When i went over there to see him, he was so stressed, seeing him like that makes me think 'wtf, how can that be a good life?' So i've been thinking out of the blue all of a sudden that being a helicopter pilot would be awesome. But where do i start? i've alway loved seeing things in this world and getting out. I've done some research on it all but if anyone can help me on this matter i'd appreciate it. I know it sounds stupid but i really do want to be in the aviation sector. I've read this and it makes me believe i can do it, but money will be the issue. Article on becoming a helicopter pilot i have spoken to my parents about this and they were quite surprisingly supportive. Also, i've made this thread so i can see what other peoples futures are aiming for and why? this is literally the first i've felt i can work towards something rather than being a bit skeptical about it. JK

  10. Wow, Deng has gone nuts with his ole' CNC machines. But it looks very niceee GU Typhoon *cough*go to hong kong and bring one back for £100!*cough* hehe JK
  11. Was at work today and saw a prgramme on called 'Whose line is it anyway?' This programme is all new to me but i was pissing myself at work and now i am on youtube watching as much as i can and my stomach hurts from so much laughing. It's a show where they have to make up story lines etc on the spot and its all unplanned and unscripted and the outcome of them are hilarious. I actually don't know how to explain it but its so funny. Check it out, Thought i might share it with you guys, You'll love it! Not sure how old this programme is but some of you may have watched it when it use to be broadcasted? Why aren;t there programmes like these anymore Heres some links One more XD JK
  12. His workmanship is awwwwwwwwwesome If you was to go CO2 this will probably cost you more if the long run and running CO2 isn't so consistant with each shot as temperature can affect it big time. JK
  13. Ahhh air rifles. I use to shoot in the nationals of hunter field targets when i was when younger in the junior class but due to education i have stopped for now. If you are to go with compressed air cylinder rifles, i would definitly got for the air arms s200 which was also recomemnded by lawnmower man i can see. These are amazing guns for a starter aswell as a semi pro and doesnt cost too much either!. Not sure about spring loaded guns but calibre size i would go for .177 for target shooting and .22 for hunting. Although the shooting prejectory line will 'curve' more, it is equally as effective as the .177 so it's up to you what pellet size you want! tThey both have their pros and cons. As for power, you may know that 12ft/lbs is the legal limit, anymore and you could go to jail so you don't want to be owning a gun with more than this. 12ft/lbs is alot of power, to put it into context, it only takes 2ft/lbs to pierce someones skull at close distance, not sure close but i overheard it at the local gun club. And that brings up my next point, where abouts do you live? there may be a local gun club you could join, if there is i'd advise to join it and meet people, you will learn alot there and meet new people. If you get the s200 i can assure you, you will not be disappointed, i use to have one before my S400 and i can say it is amazing. Consistant throughout and pin point accurate. If i remember correctly an Air Arms S200 is around £250 I still have my S400 actually and may sell it in the near future but here are some pics for you to browse on This is actually the S400 Nick Jenkinson ConVersion which has the only extended cylinder that is the same length as the barrel itself, re-configured trigger system for minimal action needed for the comps and custom tip. JK

  20. How the hell did you manage to do something on paint, quite neatly actually and virtually no spelling mistakes, apply pretty good grammar too and be drunk at the same time lol
  21. Does anyone know a good site where i can get some cool ear studs? you know different designs etc etc JK
  22. Have you tried this? 1. Bolt your freewheel tool onto your cranks with a bolt through the crank then the tool. This will make sure your freewheel tool won't slip off 2. Put the freewheel tool ( which has your freewheel and crank attached to it) into a vice to hold it in place 3. Take the pedal off the crank if you need to. 4. Slide a big metal tube (a good thing to use is a long-ish scaffolding tube) onto the crank arm. The use this leverage to twist the crank off the freewheel. With the big metal pole this will make it VERY easy. JK EDIT: Post above me beat me lol dammit! but yeah, very true what he said too great minds think alike
  23. Well written, great story and i will take in what that man said. I've recently passed my driving test, and i am itching for a car but i have to wait 2 months due to money etc but when i do i really need to be aware of my driving and not to speed or be irrisponsible. Great read and has made me think about how i should be driving when i get my car. JK
