  1. Yeah, I agree. I neet to cut the steer tube more and get a higher rise stem. Maybe a little longer too. Prolly a 100. Cheap chain = death? yeah, I have another one im gonna throw on there. Just built it up with pink cause it looked cool lol.
  2. Accually I lubed it with T-9... Its a cheap $10 pink chain.
  3. Running a 16-14 currently, but gonna switch to an ENO freewheel. (18)
  4. I have a brand new FSA orbit exteme headset which is Really low stak height. I am also willing to get rid of it. 1.3cm (top) 9mm (bottom) stack height.
  5. The bars are simtra (tankishly heavy) il prolly swap em out pretty soon. I dont need a deemax for the front, but i got it for free. Its accually about 28mm wide. Pretty narrow.
  6. In the ratchet or bearings? Loud isnt neccesarily a good thing. Or a bad thing. Pro gold grease or phil wood hub grease. Dont use thin oil or chain lube, it wont last.
  7. Awesome Idea, I might try that with mine. Assuming i can find someone to do it...
  8. Well i just have one more shipment of parts coming, then il build it up. Cant wait!!!!!!wfsfdbdf k bye
  9. Yes, i know the front wheel is a 20mm through axle. Adapters are on the way.
  10. Ask your LBS, that would probobly be the easiest way to go.
  11. If you are having problems fitting it in your frame, too tight? no, thats how its supposed to be, use a headset press. Too loose? either your head tube is ovalized of slightly oversized. Chris king makes 2 1 1/8 sizes, Accurate and oversized. Or your head tube might be 1 1/4 they make that too. Integrated? Chris king does make an integrated headset, but you have to use a special tool to get the head tube to the right size. or were you having a problmem with the headset at all and just asking a question?
  12. So, how can you put a freewheel on the crank if you have to flip it around? Isnt it then backwards and doesnt work? Im not seeing how it works. Do you flip something around? yes i know this is a stupid question.
  13. Im in california. www.observedtrials.net is the place to go. They have a few sections for diff parts of the US.
  14. The simtra ST-1 is a good way to go. I just got mine for my first bike and am still gathering parts. It costs $550 USD or 349 eu i think. http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?id=633 you can buy it there. www.simtrabike.com heres a list of a bunch of other manufacturers if u want to look around. http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....l=manufacturers
  15. Haha, Sweet paint job. Looks perfect. It definitely isnt subtle.

    Headset

Ok so your saying the bearing feels like crap? If its new, call up whoever you got it from and warantee it. if its not new, go to your LBS and see if you can get a replacement bearing for it. I dont know what size it is but it might be just a standar bearing that you can get.
  17. Well the problem with that is when you try to bash it on like that you can mess up the fork.
  18. umm putting the crown race on the fork... depends on what headset you have. Sometimes if its a sealed bearing headset the crown race will have a slit in it so you dont have to press it on. If not and its a solid circle, you need a crown race set tool thingy. pretty much just a round piece of metal that you slide on to your steer tube and hit the crown race in to place. If you are installing a king headset DO NOT use a regular headset press without adapters for king headsets or else you can destroy your bearings. If it is the Park headset press you should be able to just use it like this. Oh yeah, Lots of grease on the cups. and in the head tube. Are your wheels pre built? If not, dont just lace them up, they need to be tensioned correctly. need a tension meter and a truing stand. sorry if some of that diddnt make sense. If u have any questions feel free to send me a PM
  19. There should also be a screw on the inner side of the lever that adjusts how far out/ how quicky it enguages.

  21. Yeah thas been done also so good idea lol. Umm i forget whose using it. Yeah i just searched for it but diddnt find it, i saw it in MBA a few months ago.
  22. Back in the 60's-80's or so they had alot of dropouts like this. Horizontal is a better way to go though. Oh yeah my bad, um the grey thing is a screw to keep the axle still. yeah a tensioning screw. Its kinda weak design though.
  23. http://translate.google.com/translate?u=ht...=en&ie=UTF8 Wow, that really diddnt work... but it helps a little bit accually to get the general idea on some of it. lol.
  24. I think it would be sweet to have both. You could do all kinds of different stuff. I would like to do that later myself.
