Hi i'm building up a 26" at half decent spec.

c'zar ivan frame,

onza smart guys,

echo cnc cranks,

front hope,

rear maggie,

front try-all wheel, 32h

rear try-all rim, 32h

and all the bits and bobs (headset, bb, chain..etc)

its all second hand, but very good condition!

anyway all i need now is a freehub, hopefully rather cheap since my budget gone :P

so a deng freehub is all i can afford right now being its half-price. C'zar freehub.

so after all that heres the question - are they any good?, if not looks like i'll be just riding the T-Comp till the summer, :D

Use the search first matey... Linkage

sorry

If you can find one on here, get a second hand Pro II for that money, else save a little more and buy one new

Deng freehubs seem to get a lot of bad press from the people I've spoken to about them, and a few on here too

Looking at the other topic, they pretty much say the same thing.

i'll keep my eyes peeled for a hope then!

Thanks guys, you've saved my from a possible face re-build (Y)

I don't under stand what every one is talking about i have owned 2 of these hub's and both worked amazing no skiping mabie its just my luck or some thing but mine seem to be fine and they look pure bad ass.

cheers.

Im sure youve got a reason but does that explain it all about the hubs youve owned 2 not one. I wouldnt touch any deng freehub. They where poor made and not thought out well and a disaster i think. The hub at 1st was supose to come out with 72eps but deng soon found out he couldnt do that and had to delay things and in end they where rushed out. I dont think any deng sponsored rider actually uses one in this country do they??

I think Ben Travis did.

Yep, and his was fine as far as I remember. We've also had a local guy with one on 26" for over a year, also no problems: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L_OSuudvOYQ (black Adamant A1)

The 20" hubs have been more reliable in my experience, around 80% with no problems I would estimate.
