Tensiles?

Hi guys,

i've just started riding again after about a year and a half out! Luckily i didn't sell my steed, i knew i'd want to ride it again one day!

Just before i stopped riding i decided to buy some tensiles as at the time everyone had them, so i guessed they must be pretty good! I bought the uci bash and a screw on cog awell.

Anyway, to my point, riding around the other day and the threads that hold my cog on decide to strip!!!

Since coming back on the forum i've realised nobody uses them anymore??? What happened to tensile cranks???

Do they do any sort of manufacturers fault warrenty?

Do you run a bash and cog? on ealier tensiles they where only ment for a cog or freewheel with no bash and when people used bashes and cog the cog didnt have enough thread and striped. tensile decided to then put spline thing on for the bash to slot on to and then extending the threads.

i still use old style tensiles and i've never had a problem with them, i think there were good and bad batches.

Just snapped mine.

Also mate, They tend to snap .. alot.

Like i proved on wedesday night and i am now out of trials with a fudged ankle..

So yeah they snap. Dont risk it.
