Got a set on the way to me, Are they actually any good ? They're only about £5 or so where as the better adaptors (Heatsink, onza, echo etc) Are all like £25ish.

These ones:

Also, the base is about 2cm high, will the pads hit the rim ok ?

What are the lowest sitting Vee brake arms ?

I can't really explain it so i hope you understand what i mean :P

I would use a booster !!!! otherwise its going to be one big ball of twist and flex.

I Hadn't though of that actually, thanks (Y)

Best vee brake booster any one :P ?

Also, what pads are decent these days? Smooth rim preferably but i know thats not always possible :(

Last thing , Tensioners, whats reliable and tensions well ?

Sorry for all the questions, bit of a noob with stocks really :$

No theyre shit. I ran a set in my monty, because the shit design conveniently made up for running a 26" wheel in a 25" frame. I was running them with an Avid ultimate and a titanium booster, and they didn't last 5 minutes. I was backwheeling a rail as well when they went, and it hurt a lot.
