Well a cat leap is when you lift front wheel of the ground before back so manual type thing and then pull you're back wheel up aswel. While a bunny hop is when both wheel leave the ground at the same time. (Im a Ex bmx'er )

Lifting the front wheel first then the back is still a bunnyhop.... It's the only way of getting serious height on a BMX with no luach or anything.

A hop where you lift both wheels at the same time is just a pointless move that's rarely used at all.....

And then theres manual to hop and hop to manual........

Sooo cool he's going for the Bunnyhop WR. 124cm......... :o Hopefully he can squeeze another cm out of it too....

When a bunny 'hops' or 'jumps' it lifts its front legs first then uses spring from the rear legs to get maximum height as is demonstrated in this video..
