For your needs though, a Trialtech 610 or 810 should be pretty much ideal. They're nice, high quality chains with a pretty high breaking load, and the 610 in particular is pretty stretch proof so it should last longer. Realistically though, the only real way to make sure your chain's strong is to replace it fairly regularly. Muel Posted February 19, 2010 Report Share Posted February 19, 2010 My collapse was the worst chain I ever used! It was mega heavy and got stiff links constantly, even when well lubed. Z610! On my third now, bought one for a Mod I was selling, then one for my Kot, then just replaced it the other day. It did snap one though, but it was knackered, it had stretched half a link over the new one and it was all rusty in some places, and had never been lubed since I bought it. omgnoseat Posted February 19, 2010 Report Share Posted February 19, 2010 I have a tension issue on my mod so I was forced to use a half link chain. I'm forced to run the chain very loose which I believe stressed the chain even more (since it needs to stretch every time you pedal). I'm running the shadow conspiracy chain and I'm very impressed with how it performs. Running it about 7 months now and haven't had a single problem even though I landed on it a few times.
