Need Some Advice.

Hi,

Basically after a bike which can handle xc/all mountain/freeride. I don't want anything too heavy, but I don't want something that's shit spec/likely to fail. Going to be looking at second hand bits to get me going first, just to make sure I don't waste loads of dollar. What should I be looking at? Specific bikes and frame sets/forks/wheel advice welcome.

Cheers.

theres a kona dawg deluxe in about the right size for you in the for sale section, with forks etc. nick some bits off my spare jump bike, use your front wheel. an your only really gunna be missing wheels, etc.

or if your feeling flush, second hand specialized pitch/ commencal 5.whatever, felt compulsion, etc

just dont get a trek remedy, or you wont be seeing lizzie again.

a kona coilair would be a bit more burley if you wanted something more all mountain. My friend has a specialized enduro witch makes an awesome all mountain bike. Or why not get a hardtail? For your money you could get an absolutly beauty of a trail wepon that can go uphill just as well as down hill.

For £600 i got a stinky off pinkbike. Prices on there are okay but every now and again a real gem pops up, like it did in my case. The new trek frames look quite nice, or you could get an older specialised demo full build for within the top end of that sort of price range if you go second hand.
