dann2707 Posted March 8, 2011 Report Share Posted March 8, 2011 You don't need a tool Just put some anti sieze copper grease on the crank arm threads and screw the freewheel on as tight as you can. It will tighten up as you pedal. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

stephenmx50 Posted March 9, 2011 Report Share Posted March 9, 2011 You will need a tool if you need to remove the old freewheel first, no tool require to fit a new one, a little grease on the thread screw it on as far as you can by hand, hold the brakes on and try to pedal it will tighten itself up! bella Posted March 9, 2011 Report Share Posted March 9, 2011 i jump on the pedals to tighten it. you dont want it to tighten on when ou go to gap.if you are struggling to get the old one off i found the best way to do it is put the arm in the vice and using an air gun or impact gun buzz it off they are on very tight its hard to get them off with a nuckle bar air guns are the way forward Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
