just a quick question peeps. what are your favourite bits of software for making video edits?

I put together a little video a few years back using windows moview maker and adobe premier. premier was pretty hard to use so i was thinking about using windows movie maker this time round for the whole thing. My new computer has windows 7 and only comes with windows 'live' movie make which looks like a watered down version of the old one i had with vista. its rubbish. any suggestions?

Cheers,Lawrence.

just found out that windows movie maker 2.6 is a free download off of microsofts website so i will be using that unless anyone can recommend anything else

Windows live movie maker

Windows movie maker 2.6 doesnt let me-

use a song off itunes (that i dragged and dropped into a folder on my computer)

Use some video files

only lets you slow the video to half (WLMM lets you go to 0.125)

and thats all i can think of. But there are some disadvantages to WLMM that WMM hasnt got

I consider that a good thing.

Window movie maker is fine for me. Personally I don't like any effects or anything being over edited, like slow motion black and white clips that people seem to use just because they can. If you look at the best videos they're filmed well and edited pretty simply. Plus WMM is easy to use, as long as it doesn't freeze every 2 seconds like it does on some computers...
