matthew_coggan Posted January 16, 2012 Report Share Posted January 16, 2012 V pads when in are solid and wont move at all as they are solid with them they will have a bit of movement and wouldn't feel as solid. Posted January 16, 2012 Report Share Posted January 16, 2012 The reason you do not see them anymore is when they were created to allow v riders to benefit from the range of maggie pads you could not get for v, however now a days v's have a strng range of decent pads to get so no real need for these....... Ali C Posted January 16, 2012 Report Share Posted January 16, 2012 lets look at the advantages of vee brake pads. 1) they are bolted down and don't move which means the brake is quester 2)they also last longer because they don't wobble 3) they don't take up much room because they (well, TNN) are narrow Bolting on an adaptor that takes up more room, makes the brake louder, and makes the pads round at the edges doesn't sound great to me.
