How To Make A Spoke Tensioner ?

Not sure about that particular frame, but the usual process is to put it through a hole in the dropout (if there isn't one, drill one), then wrap the spoke round the axle a few times to create tension (ANTI-clockwise so it pushes down on the chain). Bend it a little at the end so it doesn't catch on the chain links and you're sorted (Y)

If you have a hole to put it in it really is as simple as JD makes out.

Mine was playing up tonight as Ive had it in for quite a while so I just took it off and banged a new one on and it was working fine again (Y)

(clockwise so it pushes down on the chain)

Its anti clockwise.
