Leeds Met university accommodation and Music Technology.

Hi, I'm hoping to go to Leeds Met next year to study Music technology. So far the University seems very good but I can't decide on which accommodation (I will be studying at the Headingly campus). I have visited the on site halls which are nice but far too expensive and I don't really want to be that near to the university itself. Has anyone stayed at Kirkstall Brewery Or the Opal 1&2 buildings? If so then what was your opinion on them and would you recommend staying there?

Also has anyone studied Music technology at University? I know courses differ in different universities but how did you find the course and again would you recommend? I'm studying music at college at the moment and love recording/production but also really enjoy understanding how the technology actually works, so i believe music technology would suit me more than production.

Cheers, Ben.

Flipp stayed at Kirkstall Brewery while he was in Leeds. His room seemed fine but it's just quite a way out of town if you haven't got a car. Probably closer to Headingly campus though.

Opel is walking distance to town. Never been in it.

How will you be getting to uni from your halls?

Didn't he also study Music Technology? Sounds like the best man to ask (Y)
