Todge
Hey, as you may well know I am trying to sell my Curtis frame and have recieved this email from someone who is interested. It says . . . Thanks for the response and am okay with the price .i have contacted my aunty who is based in uk but is with her husband for construction business in(south republic) she said she want to buy bike for his son and she said are you the first owner bcos she will need the paper of the CURTIS T1 TRIALS FRAME and she said she will issue to you a cheque of £1500 after you send the following info your full name, address, phone number,The money is for to you deduct your money and send the balance to the shipper when the cheque clears in your bank for 3-5 days or you go your nearest cashing points to cash the money so that the shipping company can come for the pick-up the same day you received the cheque. Thanks and as soon as i received the information i will forward it to my sister so that you can received the cheque with first class stamp with in 3 days. Thanks tenny Now, it seems really dodgy, and i have seen similar things like this on watchdog and stuff where they scam loads of money from you. Thing that makes it more suspicious ios that CURTIS T1 TRIALS FRAME is always in capitals and they dont want any pictures? So guys, advice needed :o Does it seem dodgy to you? JTM
just agree to it, wait for the cheque, and then let it clear first, blagging all the time you have already sent the frame and it must just be a hold up

Backgren
1500 quid for your frame seems a bit wierd... its like those mails telling you you've won a million from a lottery you havent entered, to make you give out your bank no. and personal info, to be able to take your money... As tarty pointed out, it seems like they will have the frame before you can check if the cheque is valid :o
Towler
If they send you a cheque that is more than the bike or your selling price and say send the rest back, dont do it. It will be a scam and a stollen cheque (saw this on tv)
