jamesb Posted May 14, 2005 Report Share Posted May 14, 2005 In the last month I have snapped 2 mech. hangers. One last week and one today. It is really annoying. Both times were on sidehops. I ride left foot forward so I like to hop to the right side (more clearance). I was wondering how many hangers most people snap in a year. Also, has anyone snapped more than 1 in a day? Thanks. I snapped one on my Azonic, and have had a Giant and a Koxx since then, neither of which i have snapped anything... So one in three years of riding. jamesb Posted May 15, 2005 Author Report Share Posted May 15, 2005 Today I went for another ride and guess what happened... I snapped another hanger. This time it wasn't even on a sidehop. I was setting up for a sidehop when the piece of wood I was on toppled over and hit my mech. Now I've snapped 2 in 1 day and 3 in a month. Just yesterday I received 3 hangers in the mail. I am down to my last one. Bad luck eh (Y) So now I'm going to try and reinforce my last hanger or go single-speed and run a tensioner off of the chainstays. Any suggestions?????????
