Swindon rider

Recommended Posts

My civic 03 cost £1700 + £1000 excess from when i passed my test .. bit of a piss take to be fair. f**k knows how insurance works but i saved £200 premium when i got my new car... even thought its over 4 categorys higher in insurance group. Now i have 1 years no claims ive near enough halved my insurance.. excess is still fanny though.

Stay clear or norwhich union... i hate them with a passion stupid indian f**ks

I insured my VTi with Adrian Flux for £950 tpft when I was 19 with 1 years ncb and that's a group 16 car so should be less for a coupe. Other descent insurers are Sky, Herts Insurance Consultants and Elephant/Admiral (pretty much the same only Elephant is online only). It may also be worth joining Honda Revolutions club which will get you discount with Sky and HIC for £25 a year membership (inlcuding a wealth of free information from Honda enthusiasts on their forum, quarterly glossy magazines and organised meets etc if you're into that kind of thing).

Unfortantely no company will let you off lightly for wanting a Honda at a young age, because Honda parts prices are steep insurers will always charge more than for an equivalent performance Ford, Vauxhall or other generic piece of crap. It's something you have to live with but is countered by many plus points in my opinion.

Links to the mentioned companies are below, hope that helps and enjoy the motor - 'tis a good choice.

shop around like f**k. i'm paying less than 1k for my impreza with only 1 year ncb, fully comp for 8k miles per year. original quotes where double that, so i ended up simply renewing with the same firm (admiral).

Confused.com gets things in the right direction to focus in. ASDA and tesco are good in my area, and buy a copy of max power cos there is 50+ companies for young drivers, modded cars, imports, jap cars, men only etc etc etc...

Tesco is cheap, so is the Post Office insurance. Im with Marks & Spencers(!) at the moment, was £100 cheaper than with Post Office so paying £510 fully comp with a 250 excess on my dturbo 306. Thats with mileage set to 12k....though I may have gone slightly over that this year :$

Post Office

Marks & Spencers

Give them a try, you never know! Policy is pretty sound aswell, though dont get a cracked windscreen with M+S :(

cheapest i got was £460 fully comp, 1 year no clains, no points / confictions. 19 years of age.

that is with the rac but with a shitty 1.1 fiesta!

try as well liverpool victoria. norwich is normally good.

best thing i did was try money super market, then the top 3 odd companies i got re quoted on thier sites.

best thing is shop around.
