A fellow rider of ours has type 1, and he pretty much lives life as usually.

Gets drunk, eats lots of chocolate and shit.

He does piss a lot though. :D:lol:

And if when go out riding has to top up his insulin every known and then.

S'alright though, as he often takes a 24 hour one, so doesn't need to take it every 2 hours or what ever.

read into this guy http://www.jasonbecker.com/ (Y)

"One night I dreamed I was running. When I woke up I forgot I had a limp, so I walked totally normal until I remembered, "oh, yeah, I have a limp". Then I immediately stumbled. That showed me that if you have control over your mind, you can do anything."

oh my god, weird aint it :P

Just come off being incerlin dependant and back to diet. Up this morning was a 4.4 which is bit low, now sitting at a nice 9.3. I just eat, drink, smoke, etc etc as normal but just making sure it's always over 8.0

Pete, 8.0 is too high in it's self. Anything over 10 is bad. You might wanna read up on it befor you get some kind of perminant damage.

There is not set limit for all, it's indervidual. 6 is comen but so is 8 pending on the style of your work. I need high energy all the time, this is alos the case in my diabeties. I been like it for years now and went from diet to tablets then to incerlin and now incerlin and diety. Phase 1 offerse a trial phase if anyone is over 18 and wants to rake in some cash for it. Would i have a hypo pen, aderlin pen and my incerlin pen

Nah, 8 is considerd high, it dosn't vary from person to person. But if you don't belive me get a second opinion becuase your putting your health at risk.

Having a higher % of blood sugar level dosn't give you more engergy at all.

Couldn't work out what your were saying in the second bit.

Well 5 years as one i think they would get me to lower it! Alex Decosa a guy whom i did Phaze1 with was on a 12.0 and not allowed past 8.5...an ex misis mum was not allowed past 7.5 and had to keep it at 8.0. saw my nurse Friday and was told everything is all good. Doabites is great for getting Viagra and selling it on as you can suffer EDF

above 4 below 6 (Y) any way i though i was diabetic when i did a blood test and came out as 34.5 but i'd just eaten honey and had some on the tip of my finger, thank god.

My Dads diabetic and i see what he has to go through taking 8 injections a day and having to manage what he eats, he's been diabetic since he was 7 and most of his family have had diabetes as well, but apperently it tends to skip generations which means hopefully i won't be but my kids might!

but according to him having more sugar in your blood makes you feel like you have more energy but as soon as you try and do anything physical it makes you feel tired faster than normal.

I also have diabeties,

i have had it since i was 10, I didn't realise till i was on the pier fishing with my dad when i dromaticaly got very ill and nearly passed out, next thing i know im at the doctors and they say i have no more than 10 mins to get to a hospital or i will be in a comer, so i spent 2 weeks in hospital,

To be honest im not dealing with mine very well atall (my sugar levels are usauly between 8 and 13 instead of around 4-6)

my sugar levels are always abit high but asoon as i go out on my bike they drop so quick and i end up having a hypo :(,

I find it hard to try and work out the right dose of insuline for the day in the morning as it all depends on how much excersice i do, and wether i go out on my bike.

I never go to my apoinments which is silly i know but we all deal with it in are own way, and i choose to try and ignore it.

I dont let it get in the way of my hobby (trials), i just make sure i always have a couple of quid with me when i go out to get a mars bar or something if my sugars go low.

My opinion: DIABETIES SUCKS (N):angry::(:>_<

Soz to here there is no chance for you :( Keep riding and the trials gods might help you out some day :) , they said to my cuzen that there is still chance that her body might start produce insulin again. I don't now any thing about it personally, she has just moved to America what i think has helped because there great over there it has also helped me aswell because the riding is great in new Jersey and new York city.
