LiamWood!
Well in the next few weeks i will be purchasing a Rear profile hub in red from tarty. Is there any problems from out of the box? E.g needs better lube in because the stuff profile use is a bit rubbish?Do they need to be stripped and cleaned after a couple of rides?Do they skip like a ponce in a flower Field if you don't tighten up the springs inside or something?i have no-idea about the hub so these maybe stupid questions to youAny advice will be welcomedLiam

Well to be honest i have never heard of "deng" being new back into the sport i haven't seen it expand like the people who stayed with it.Also the only colour on order are: Black, Pink and lime lolLiam

Grant H
have you thought about a deng rear freehub? If they are the same design as the 26" ones then there a waste of time/money
ogre
if your having second thoughts why not go ffw? eno's hve more engagements anywaysyeah, but they engage just as fast(assuming you run 18-12), 'cause the bigger chainring at the front makes the sprocket at the back spin faster so you get the engagement sooner. if you run 18-13 or softer an eno would be better
PaRtZ
Profile hubsare the dogs balls. simple as. They're cheaper than a king and have just as much reliablity and about half the faffing when it comes to clean/service. none of this helical spline shizzle, simply pull and voila. ok in bullet point form:PRO'S--------* They hardly skip. I had one for 1.5 years and it never skipped on me and I was harsh back then too* Come in nice variety of colours* Easy to service + clean etc* Not too pricey (imo)* Awesome sound* Easy to get sparesCON'S---------* Rim brake only. you cant get a disc shell for them* Can be a bitch if you have to replace driver bearings.... but that doesn't exactly happen every weekend* Only available in 36h I believe?Pro's far outweigh the cons to be honest

dozydame
looks like your in a pickle mate, your gonna have to get a new rim. Theres not a lot of 36h mod rims, but i think try-all do them.By the way, profile are the nuts and don't slip but one bit of advice, don't put grease in them! they slip a lot if you do. Metal
It can be built and built strong, I think CLS used to run 36 hub 32 rim. Not 100% sure though...

samo
definatly get a profile mate... you can run any rim on a profile all you have do is just miss some holes in the hub.but best thing to do with the hub is to run them dry with out no lube and just clean them out every so oftern
Dan6061
Mine's never skipped.Bought it 2nd hand, so it was already bedded in...Actually..only time it did skip was when I broke all the bearings. - Soon sorted that out, and it's been fine.Only serviced it when I did that too.. Dave Anscombe
gosh....people run them dry.o dear wont last as long but less chance of skippy......tut tut tut had mine 1 and a half years brand new never skiped once......love my profile bloddy good hub
basher
Great hubs only thing i would say is dont run your chain super slly tight as it will ruin the driver bearings. You can build 36h hub onto 32h rim.

Deng hubs skip more then a £3 freewheel! im not even joking!!buy one if you want to die!!profile are amazing only bad thing is that they weigh more the freewheel!
