  2. Why not just get on board with Sue (Dj's mum) and help out with getting the trials park done in Abingdon. As things are already underway with the town council and funding events are beginning to be organized there is FAR more chance of this becoming a reality as these internet petitions never go anywhere. I am yet to see one produce any results. Signed anyway but I would speak to Sue if I were you and see how you can help here out Joey B
  3. I have had to remove fixed sprockets from cranks countless times and usually I just angle grind two flat side to the sprocket, clamp in a vice and batter it with a hammer. But this time i wanted to keep the sprocket as its only a couple of weeks old and its a Surley so I'm not just going to throw good parts away. I tried the blocks of wood in vice, chain in vice and the loose ends of the chain in the vice with the crank moving freely. None of these worked as i didn't have a long enough bar. Finally gave up and called dad in to see if he could think of anything, he had a look grabbed two bolts and put them in opposite holes in the drilling's on a Surley put a bar between then gave it a twist and it came off an absolute piece of piss. I'd just thought I'd share this with you as I know this will help somebody out there. Another thing is that this will only work for fixed sprockets with drilling's such as the Surley or Plazmatic, though i guess if it came to it you could drill a couple of holes for the bolts to fit into. Piccy below to help explain it.

  6. Orange Box, I have just bought it and is f**king amazing. Whats even better is that it doesn't just have 1 good game it has 5!!! Half Life 2 Half Life 2 - episode 1 Half Life 2 - episode 2 Portal Team Fortress 2 Every single game is decent and without using any cheats the playtime is soooooo long. Graphics are very good, i only recommend it as you mention you have a decent GPU. If that doesn't do it for you then buy Bioshock. Can't be assed to go into detail but it really is just another amazing game

    Career Advice!

oh my god thats both you and Safraz now that are thinking or kicking in 6th form!!!! I can't give you any advice from experiences, as I jumped straight out of GCSE's into an apprenticeship thats going to get me places, i guess i was just lucky. From what i have heard from other people at work though, is if you have already begun A-levels get as many as you can under your belt as they really will open doors for you once you look to start a career, even if its just the AS levels. My advise would be to apply for as many things that catch your eye as possible ready for the end of this school year, and if you get offered something that you think you could pursue for a few years, take it. If not then carry on with your A2 levels and try again the next year when even more options will be there for you.

  13. At BMW were not even allowed to wear jeans to work. It has to be black trousers, shirt and tie or the polo shirts they give us. Any tattoos have to be covered if we are outside the building even if were walking between jobs. I have serious doubts that flesh tunnels would be allowed their as even in a hands on and dirty job as this, image is still everything.

  20. Cheers Steve that will sort me out when I get the backings I just ordered from you. I have just returned from the oven, as the boiling water didn't seem to melt the glue enough, but i can now vouch for the oven as it sorted me out perfectly. Thanks to everyone for there help Feel free to keep putting in ideas as this may help someone else
  21. Ahh another good question lol Any suggestions or will superglue do the job????
  22. Right.. I have bought myself some Rock pads and some Heatsink CNC'ed Backings to put on my new rear brake setup and i have got to the point where I need to remove the material from the plastic powerpad backings. I have not even got a clue on how to do this without damaging the pad material at the same time. There seems to be quite a bit of superglue (assuming that what it is) holding the material in. So my question to my fellow forumites is.... how the bloody hell do I get it out! Cheers in advance guys and gals Joey B
