I'm doing a 4 year apprentiship with BMW, as a maintenance engineer. Doing 3 days of practical work at college (hand fitting, machining, electrical, electronics.. etc) then one 11 hour day at college doing the theory side of things and on fridays I work at BMW in my placement shadowing the qualified guys learning the job I will be doing myself at the end of the apprentiship. I'm loving every minute of it doing the apprentiship. Such a strange feeling to wake up looking forward to going to work/college compared to my days back at school where I just gave up and couldn't be arsed lol. There taking on apprentices at the moment so if you live somewhere close to a BMW/MINI/Rolls Royce plant then get an application in now.
