  1. I had my betty for well over a year, Riding most days. Definatly some voodoo going on.
  2. thats a good call, i've currently got a ti halfring, with no bashplate. works a treat. and saves a touch of weight. Although, if you like using the bash. (using it up obstacles) i'd keep it. I sometimes wish i had one. But I prefer a smoother approach to riding these days.
  3. Are they new pads anyway ? It's definatly a case of sanding the pads, clean the rotor and let the pads bed in again.
  4. sweet bike, not sure if both bash ring & bash plate are needed though. usually either one or the other...
  5. i used to run a big betty when i had a stock. lovly tire, plenty of grip and really light.
  6. a building/ roofing suppliers / B&Q or if you spot some blokes doing road works. ask for some...
  7. Keep the water... less hassle, not going to freeze any time soon.
  8. I've bath bled mine any it's absolutly awesome! Blew all the oil out first with a track pump, and ran warm water through it for a while to make sure it's clear of any residue oil. filled up the bath, and done the norm. see "revolvers" guide to a bath bleed. the only differance with the 2011 magura is you have to unscrew the hose on the lever till 2/3 threads are showing. this opens up the bleed hole. It did take a while till all the air " bubbles" stopped coming out, I just kept tapping the slaves/ lever to disloge any that coulda been stuck. Hope you sort it, with a nice bleed they work / feel so nice to use.
  9. Personally i don't think it'd work out to well for them. Plus there are loads of trustworth people on this forum, just do your research before you buy anything or give any money out. i've never once been conned / done out of money on here.
  10. i had a king on my mod before i moved to FFW... with the FFW it feels more responsive and flicky. it also usually works out lighter.
