  1. I met Nikita in 2007 or 2008 in London. He was on one of the big London rides that we went to, and came and rode with me and Sponge late into the night. Proper nice guy, wicked rider and I've always looked for videos of him without success. So glad I found this Sorry for diggin' up an old(ish) thread.
  2. Hey guys and girls, Not posted here for a while but recently started reading the forum again. Getting back into unicycle trials again and thought I'd show off a couple of our most recent videos. End of 2009 Video This is a compilation of what we got upto in 2009. Mike Taylor - Skinny Skills Our resident trials beast rides some narrow stuff. http://vimeo.com/8280335 Enjoy! Edd
  3. While theres no denying the kids a little ripper, what you don't see in his videos is how hard he is pushed. I've met him while riding in MK while he was trying to kickflip a massive drop. He tried it the first time and properly f**ked his ankle. The guy filming him (Guessing someone from Bucks Boarding Centre?) was making him attempt it over and over until he got it. The kid obviously wanted to leave it and was limping and virtually in tears! Im in one of his videos on youtube. Haha. Edd
  4. Same technique, different materials. Very simply, to do alu you need a bath of Sulphuric acid, a bit of lead for the cathode (-ve) and the alu you want to anodise for the anode (+ve). After you've zapped it in the acid bath for 45 minutes ish, dip it in your chosen dye for a few minutes and then pop it in a pan of boiling water for half hour to seal the colour in.
  5. Was good to meet you too mate. No worries, was nice to see people interested in the unicycle for once. Normally I just get abuse from people in the street. I don't know how you lot ride those trials bikes. I had a go on Alex's and I couldn't even hop up a kurb! You crazy mo'fos! My whole body is aching today though, im walking round work like an old man!
  6. Was a good ride. Didn't ride as much as I'd wanted, but couldn't seem to do anything today! Was good to meet people and spend most of the day watching some mad stuff go down. Edd (the unicyclist with normal length legs)
  7. The Unicyclist was Jason Auld of Team Voodoo Unicycles. He is british street champion, so trials isn't really his bag. He told me that he did land several street tricks before he attempted hopping up the trials rig, but they must have cut that out. He also said the way it was edited made him look proper grumpy! He is a good rider, I think his nerves just got the better of him.
  8. Cheers guys. Aj made a short video too. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=NfnSbFz3aPw
  9. Yeah, Jas was there too, I didn't manage to get many photos of him though
  10. Hey guys, I don't post much on here but I had a few photos so I thought id show them. We rode at Teecycle in Middlesbrough at the weekend and we let the M.A.D guys ride out stuff because their setup was rather poo! Setting up Some of the lines Aj Ste Leo Me M.A.D Guys Got a vid of one of Brett doing one of the lines too. I could ride it on my unicycle, but no-one filmed it http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=ybg3gk1GCgs Edd
  11. Hehe, cheers guys. Forgot I was a member here
  12. Cheers mate! I was really just asking if people would be able to post up the best trials spots in MK. Chances are, if you can ride them on a bike, you can ride them on a unicycle. Thanks anyway dude! Also, would any trials bikers be interested in joining a load of trials unicyclists in the new year for a ride in MK? Rock on! Edd
  13. Here is my trials machine, this is when it was new, before I bought cranks for it. From above Frame and wheel Full view Rock on! Edd
  14. Hi everyone! I have been signed up to the forums for a while now, I have been on a few times just to read, but have never posted before (That I can remember anyway). I am a trials unicyclist, some of you probably know Sponge (I know he posts here) and Joe Hodges. I am thinking about organising a MK unicycle trials ride and was wondering what the most famous trials spots were in MK. I have been riding in MK loads before, but not living there I don't really know where all the best spots are. If people could post the most popular spots or place's you have found that are not well known but good to ride, that would be great. Keep in mind that there will probably be a large group of unicyclists, with unicycles not being the most efficient forms of transport in the world, so there cant be too much walking/riding between spots! Thanks in advance dudes! Rock on! Edd
